  1. They are. Mitchell, now William to go for it. What am I missing?
  2. It was definitely a ball, but not far enough out where we can be certain that it would have been called that way, Thank Sanchez for two bad challenges.
  3. Twice. Just too many missed opportunities today. Getting 3 walks and an HBP in a single inning is an absolute gift. Somehow coming away with nothing to show for any of it is inexplicable.
  4. You were brought in for the LHB, Rom. You had one freaking job.
  5. Stop letting Gary challenge. Do something about it, Murphy. It’s every game he catches.
  6. They also had Bauers on 3rd base with nobody out and could not drive him in. They had Yelich in scoring position with nobody out and the heart of the order up and could not drive him in. They had Perkins in scoring position with nobody out and could not drive him in. The reasons are plentiful why the Brewers are not winning this game and are not limited to Jackson Chourio not catching a deep solo HR at the fence.
  7. Happens when you leave a pitch right down the middle of the plate.
  8. Wouldn’t be a Sanchez start without one bad, selfish, nonsensical challenge in a situation that makes no sense.
  9. And as I pointed out, his defense has been fine. Not a liability. Hopefully he can improve it, and I think he can, but if he doesn’t he’s still not a liability. I don’t think the expectation for his glove was to come in and be a gold glove candidate immediately.
  10. Kuhnel is not aesthetically pleasing to watch pitch. Every pitch looks like he’s trying to throw a knuckleball with no idea where it’s headed,
  11. And he has averaged about 4 WAR per full season since then. Between the ages of 20-22. He is younger right now, today, than Turang, Contreras, and Frelick were on their debut days. If he is ascending slowly and not meeting expectations I have no idea what those expectations were.
  12. Because he’s 22 years old. He’s still getting used to the range he has to cover, the speed of the MLB game compared to the minors, the routes he has to take, the footage of the warning tracks, among many other things. He is still adjusting to the MLB game at an age when most of his counterparts are playing in AA. Chourio graded out +6 DRS in 2024, +1 in 2025 and +1 so far in 2026, and +5, +3, and +1 respectively in OAA. Even with his limitations that he needs to work on, he has still graded out as an above average outfielder every year in his career. This is his floor. And it’s not like his floor is bad.
  13. Holy smokes is Sanchez slow. Perkins probably has a chance at a triple without Sanchez in front of him.
  14. Yes. Which 100% appears to be a correctable, coachable mistake that he’s making. Not an athletic limitation that dooms him to jumping into the wall for the rest of his career.
  15. There’s a difference between acknowledging that a defensive play was poor and declaring the offending player a DH only player because of it.
  16. Needed better ABs from Chourio and Turang that inning.
  17. I didn’t plan on having to take the position today that the Brewers should not move their star 22 year old player to DH at 22 years old.
  18. Oh come on. He just turned 22 years old, his defensive game is at least average in every other regard, and he’s plenty athletic enough to develop and improve his shortcomings. He needs to work on this one particular part of his defensive game, that’s all it is.
