  1. Oh, they’ll back into the division, they’re far enough ahead and the Cubs are not good enough to catch them. But they won’t back into the 1 seed, the Phillies are too good. Either go out and earn the 1 or be happy with the 2, because this isn’t going to be good enough to hold onto the 1.
  2. Why are we the only team in baseball that can’t figure out Miles Mikolas?
  3. Have to be better with runners in scoring position. Just have to. It’s becoming WAY too commonplace to see a leadoff runner on 2nd still standing there when the inning ends.
  4. Well we now know at least 1 thing about Maryland. They are much better than UW.
  5. Really sad to see how far the Badger football program has fallen. This feels like rock bottom, but there’s probably further to go.
  6. Can’t really say that anyone with a 64 OPS+ is ever really due for a hit. More like the blind squirrel occasionally finding the proverbial nut.
  7. Turang is striking out at a much higher historical rate than in the past. However, if that’s the trade off for the extra power he’s shown this year, I will take it.
  8. I also kind of figured on a loss tonight. Coming off a really good homestand, feels like we don’t have much success against Gray, and don’t have much confidence in Miz on the road.
  9. This isn’t really relevant to tonight, but did Contreras’ framing get much worse or something? Going solely on eye test, it seems really, really bad at times.
  10. Anderson can eat the last 10 outs and then go back on IL for all I care at this point.
  11. I would guess Miz makes it, but I don’t love it. Anderson is probably a bubble guy, but I think his only shot is if both Megill and Hall aren’t ready. I’d rather see Gasser than Anderson despite the unknown.
  12. I don’t think they’d be able to get to 94 wins if we forfeited every game the rest of the season.
  13. I think there’s a pretty good case for leaving Miz off the playoff roster. The case is, he’s an absolute loose cannon.
  14. They’ll have a week with no games at the end of the season. I don’t want to risk injury or ride anybody who really needs a break, but I’m not overly concerned about rest with no WC round to play.
  15. It looks like I may be out here on my own on this one, but I’m against going with less than a 12 man pitching staff. Just too many opportunities for something to go wrong. Short start by a starter, 12 inning game, etc.
  16. If you looked into the totality of his posting history, you’d understand. Also of course someone posing as a Brewer fan is going to call themselves something like that.
  17. I like his defense of course, but it’s not worth having a black hole in the lineup every day.
  18. We need to be able to do better than an everyday SS with a .591 OPS next year, especially if seemingly half of his ABs are with the bases loaded.
  19. This would be a massively disappointing one to drop, with what Priester did early, and the Phillies idle.
  20. And that’s why you can’t walk the leadoff man. All the good things you did this game and you’re losing 2-1 just like that.
