  1. Our offense would find a way not to score here. Can the Cubs do the same?
  2. Fun as this season has been, this team will be watching the playoffs from home, and they deserve to be watching from home.
  3. It's that kind of mentality the Brewers have that has led to a 4-10 extra inning record this year. I'd love to see it but when players go up there thinking home run or bust, 9 times out of 10 it's bust. The reason they are 4-10 in extra innings is because their bullpen is terrible. Here are their losing pitchers in the 10 losses: Torres 1 Drake 3 Peralta 2 Feliz 1 Barnes 1 Hughes 2 Not sure what this proves. You're emptying out your pen in extras. So yeah usually what is going to be left is garbage.
  4. I mean what is it with these guys? Just absolutely no clutch ability in the lineup? Completely tense up in every close late situation? Yay, extras again. This should go well.
  5. I feel like you ask this same question every time a game is close. He's not wrong. I mean, I badly want a Brewer to hit a walkoff HR and Miller Park to erupt. Its just that we've seen how this script usually ends.
  6. I feel like you ask this same question every time a game is close. This coming from the guy who said we may as well close down the boards if we don't win last night.
  7. I hate to say it but this may be do or die. Meat of the order due up in the 10th for the Cubs. With the relievers we have remaining, not liking our chances if this keeps going.
  8. Last night's was basically a tie. It was impossible to tell. It was fairly easy to see he was safe on this one. Sigh. Well, they clearly didn't get that in New York or on FSN.
  9. Last night's was basically a tie. It was impossible to tell. It was fairly easy to see he was safe on this one.
  10. Lol. Again, really? It's not enough for them to just lose these games. They have to shatter our hearts in the process.
  11. Anyone have any confidence whatsoever that we're going to win this game?
  12. Counsell just can't resist using Perez in a leadoff situation even when the matchup doesn't make any sense. That was an ideal spot to use Villar.
  13. Bout one AB too late with that deep flyout, Domingo.
  14. I knew Shaw had been bad in the second half but I didn't know he had been .189 bad. Yeesh.
  15. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/20787572/julio-mendez-injured-milwaukee-brewers-minor-leaguer-moved-venezuelan-hospital Mendez was moved to a hospital in his home country of Venezuela. No change in his condition.
  16. I would absolutely fire Darnell Coles after the season. It's bad enough how bad this offense has been in the second half, but their late inning approaches have been contagious across the lineup and have cost us so many games.
  17. We have choked the division away and deservedly so. I don't even want to look up what our record is in extra inning games this year . It must be putrid.
  18. Fathers up 3 now Problem is the Cardinals are very much in it as well.
  19. Cravy was already DFAed this year, no one wanted him so he had to stick around.
  20. really? I know that, but this wild and crazy roster manipulation is sometimes too much... Broxton walked, great... Only to completely screw up a play in the outfield that Phillips makes 100% of the time. Who is to say Phillips doesn't hit a HR or game winning triple at some point rather than being removed from the game. I like Phillips as much as the next guy, but it is insanely over the top to say he makes that play '100%' of the time. That shows no appreciation for the degree of difficulty on both reading that ball initially and also having enough range to run it down. It was a bad play. I said so myself when it happened. But my goodness, pathetic for a professional? Really?
