  1. The two 1st do get tricky to gauge because two 1sts from one team mean so much more than from another. Bears got a 1st from Carolina that turned out to be 1.01. If the Packers pick 29th and 23rd the next two years which is probably a pretty fair guess, that’s equal to one 1st at #8 overall in value.
  2. If there’s a great argument to be made about the Packers trading a pair of 1sts, it’s that they kind of suck at drafting in the first.
  3. You don’t see how not having two 1st round picks to build the team with (regardless of position, which certainly isn’t guaranteed), eating as much dead money dealing Clark as they did, and investing as much as they did in Parsons, couldn’t look really, really bad in a few years? Again, not saying they shouldn’t have. But there are numerous different ways it could blow up in their face.
  4. Giving up two 1sts and Clark just to be able to have the privilege to pay QB money to Parsons is indeed an enormous price and investment. I'm not saying they shouldn’t have. I’m just saying it’s a deal that could look really, really bad in a few years. Or the deal that won them a Super Bowl. We will see.
  5. I love the deal, I’m glad they did it, and I certainly understand it. It’s exciting I think it turning out to be a total Russ Wilson catastrophe are about as good of it resulting in a Super Bowl win, though. I do understand the risk.
  6. The deal works better for the Packers if they keep Gary — obviously hoping it’ll open things up for him too. LVN becoming a thing is pretty much dead in the water though.
  7. One thing that no one will ever truthfully be able to say about Anthony Seigler is “he just didn’t get enough opportunities.”
  8. I think this is akin to saying momentum and confidence revealing themselves on the field, both in good and bad ways at times, isn’t a thing in professional sports. I can’t buy that that is true either.
  9. If he doesn’t, he’s going to find himself on the bench quickly for Rhys when he returns.
  10. Both teams have gotten some hits today. Both teams have left men on bases today. But one teams’ starting pitcher put 6 men on bases for free today and the other teams’ starter did not. That’s the difference today. That’s it.
  11. Every day I’m not sure how they can have a more frustrating game and every day they seem to find a new way to top the last one in a different way.
  12. Mona at the 9 spot getting some hits would look pretty good if the guys hitting in front of him weren’t punchless.
  13. “Hey, you know that bunting thing that hasn’t worked a single time to get anything going for us during this stretch? Let’s try that again.”
