  1. I know we have a lot of bench players in right now, but our offense sure is starting to concern me.
  2. Your silver lining today is Mets 8, Reds 1. We'll still be 3 1/2 out in the Wild Card race. Though it doesn't really feel like we deserve to be. Also White Sox 13, Cardinals 1.
  3. I'm predicting a HUGE inning. I'll say 12 runs. Any takers?
  4. We haven't done ANYthing this series to show the Tigers that we are even suitable competition for them.
  5. Well, .500, it was fun while it lasted.
  6. That doesn't look like a monumental loss at this point.
  7. Another great decision by Nedly. Get Helling out of there already.
  8. I am really getting angry that Villy wasn't given another chance. I guess he needed to do a little more than 6 IP, 79 pitches, 0 R, 6 K's to deserve another start, huh?
  9. Grounding into a DP on a 3-1 count, why that's precisely what we needed. Blowing opportunities left and right early.
  10. I don't think we could have gotten to Rueben Quevedo today.
  11. Dmiles I don't think that anyone here will argue with you that our defense stinks. But I am a little confused on why and how you are trying to excuse the bullpen from blame here.
  12. We can if, and, or but the situation all we want. I don't know what MIGHT have happened and neither do you. But I do know that Wise had no control, gave up 2 (corrected) basehits, gave up a key walk, and Capellan failed to stop the bleeding when it really counted with two outs and we still had a tie. The bottom line is that our bullpen came in and lost (barring a 9th inning rally) yet another game for us. Period.
  13. Are you serious? First of all, one of the errors was on the pitcher, so are you really going to try to use that? Secondly, yes Wise is absolutely at fault for giving up THREE hits while Capellan gave up what will probably be the game-winning double. Sure, errors stink but you've still got to get the job done. Don't know why you're making excuses for the bullpen, they've been atrocious all year.
  14. Brian Shouse is statistically our best reliever. LOL That's how bad it has gotten.
  15. Great work, bullpen. I can't believe how mad I am right now. We ask our pen guys to come in and pitch maybe ONE scoreless inning and they can't do it after Doug has come in and pitched SEVEN. Ruined a great game.
  16. Wise with another poor effort and ruins a great outing by Davis. Our bullpen, bluntly speaking, stinks.
  17. Whew, I was getting a little worried about that inning. So maybe 1 more inning for Davis? Unless of course his spot happens to come up with the bases loaded this inning. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. Uh Oh Doug. Work your way OUT of jams, not IN to them. A little off topic -- Reds 4, Mets 2. We'll need to win to keep pace with them now. Xavier Nady came up to the plate as the tying run and made the last out. Had it been a Brewers pitcher he probably owuld have parked it in the centerfield seats, http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif , always seems to do it against us.
  19. Well, that ties a career high for Bonderman. We may have a good offense, but on any given night, they can look absolutely abysmal, not to take anything away from Bonderman. Looks like the finale from Cincy so far.
  20. Well, Bonderman has now struck out every guy in our lineup, and that's 7 straight K's now. Break the streak Rickie!!!
  21. 6 straight total batters have K'd. I wonder what the "record" is, because we could probably add 3 more to that six this inning if things keep it. Good thing Davis is so on tonight. 2 runs might win this thing.
  22. Our entire lineup besides our PITCHER has struck out!! Well, Bonderman set a personal strikeout record for himself last outing, apparently we are going to ensure that he sets a new one today.
  23. Neither Miller nor Moeller are very good defensive catchers, no matter how much Bill or Daron might gush about how they are.
  24. Bonderman with 7 K's. If there's one thing that annoy's me greatly about a Butch Wynegar offense, it is that they always seem to strike out a TON. (every year, not just this year).
