  1. Come on Bow...no messing around...
  2. Well, thank God we got that wild pitch run. Ross continues to kill us.
  3. It happened to work out. That doesn't mean I think it was the right call, but I am glad it worked out.
  4. The thing that baffles me is that the only two lefties you have coming up (Griffey, Dunn) hit lefties just as well or better than they hit righties. So I just don't understand the logic at all.
  5. Great. How about just not falling behind this inning?
  6. Why the love affair with Shouse? Two rightys coming up and a lefty that hits either/or just as well.
  7. Are we really going to let them solo jack their way right back into this?
  8. I don't get it....what did Brady do? Sorry I can't see the game. Okay got it...Thanks...I appreciate it
  9. What did Brady do? I can't see it.
  10. Alright, now we have to lay off of Jenks for a couple of days.
  11. I agree. That basehit clearly established Jenks as one of the premeire outfielders both on our staff and in baseball.
  12. Crap, no dice with the RISP...Hopefully we can chase Arroyo out of this game.
  13. Right now, it's a miracle Davis only has 1 walk.
  14. The Reds are really doing us a favor these last 4 outs by going after the first pitch.
  15. Does Davis need to go full on every batter? He's been effective so far, but we'll be lucky to get 6 innings out of him at this rate.
  16. Good AB by Junkins. He did draw a Ball. Okay, I'm done criticizing Jenks after every at-bat. Maybe. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. Can we just give Prince ROTY already?
  18. Seems like Davis has no intention of throwing strikes tonight. I hope we don't have to go to the bullpen early because of it.
  19. I have made my points of why I am frustrated with Jenkins. (Jenks actually leads the NL in strikeouts, by the way). When players aren't productive anymore, they should spend some time on the bench. Not continue to bat #3 (supposedly reserved for a team's best hitter). I don't want to toss Jenkins into a river or anything. The fact of the matter is, he's just not getting it done right now, and he needs to spend some time in the batting cage figuring it out, not on the field where it's hurting the team. Maybe he figures it out in the 2nd half and goes on a tear, I sure hope so. But I hate seeing him continuously go out and do basically nothing when we have young outfielders on the bench and in the minors waiting for their shot. Take Brady Clark, for example. He struggled at the beginning of the season, and of course, people criticized his performance. So Yost moved him out of the leadoff spot and tried him somewhere else. When that still didn't work, he gave him some time off and gave Gross a few starts. Then Clark worked his way back in, got comfortable in the 8-spot, and seemingly found it again. Jenkins should be held to the same standard. Just because he gets paid a lot and we expect more out of him isn't reason to be stubborn and continue to throw him out there every single day in the hopes that he will suddenly put it together.
  20. First of all, Dunn has less K's than Jenkins, so I'm not sure how he leads the league. Secondly, then how about criticizing Jenks for having the lowest BA in our order? For being almost completely non-productive in a big RBI spot in the lineup? For being almost useless against any given left-handed pitcher? Or for doing this all while being the 3rd highest paid player on our team, with obviously high expectations of him? These all seem like valid criticisms to me.
  21. (sigh)...c'mon D-Bow, not one of "those" days, please....
  22. Lee also came through with a homerun and a sac-fly ...and the score being as it is, I think we would have just lost the game without those two plays.
  23. Junkins with another K hat-trick today.
  24. Jenks vs. a lefty. This should be entertaining.
