    Capuano with only 65 pitches through 6. No reason not to have him continue on.

    If you're wondering about the rule, a batter is automatically out if he hits a infield pop up with less than 2 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd or the bases loaded. Stranded leadoff runners at 1st and 2nd. I sure wouldn't like them to be making a habit of that, but today, it shouldn't matter, hopefully.

    Might be a good game to see Hendrickson. Or, the way Capuano is going, how about him going the distance and giving the entire pen the day off?

    LOL...that inning raises Carlos Z's season ERA to a robust 5.35 on the season. But once Wood and Prior come back, oh wow, that rotation won't ever lose...right??

    But at least they were generous enough to give us 1 more on the wild pitch just before the out! Capuano with a very healthy amount of run support today. Let's get in this last half inning now to make this game official and make SURE we don't have to worry about it later.

    How about they all just get in some buses and take a trip an hour north? I hear there is a much nicer stadium there, with a retractable roof nonetheless to keep the game dry.

    NL Central update: Reds 4, Nats 0 Top 4 Cards 2, Pirates 0 Bottom 3 Hard enough for us to gain ground as it is with no one else in the Central willing to lose lately.

    Still no Clark? Hmm...Yost must be just giving him a couple days to try to get him back into things -- I'm almost positive that he wouldn't be giving up on Clark this early. Isn't it great having the luxury of guys like Hall and Gross that you can bring off the bench and it's not just a dead spot in your lineup like you would see with many replacements? No surprise to see Weeks on the bench today, but I'm shocked that Hall isn't the one replacing him. But I'll trust that one to Ned. Sheets vs. Sosa....it's a game we should win. Which is exactly why I'm very worried about it. It's great that we won this series, but dropping the finale would put us back at .500, and we need to start working our way back up north of .500, especially with the rest of the division continuing to win.

    After all that...it's still the same as if we would have lost 11-2. OUCH. I think I would have rather lost 11-2. What a heartbreaker.

    OUCH. Unreal that a single would have TIED the game. With Lidge coming up, it's probably going to be so close, yet so far.
