  1. Good grief. Now are they going to have to make this a tough loss to break our hearts?? Are they really going to make me have to question why Ned only put De La Rosa back out there for 1 inning after having him bat, then pulled him after 2 1/3rd when he was pitching well and is built for long relief?? Why?? And how many PINCH-HIT homeruns is that for Gross this season in the first 14 games? 3???
  2. How about 7 runs this inning....Heh...heh...
  3. On a side note, can we get Prince back into and Koskie out of the #5 hole already? Has Koskie even driven a run in that spot??
  4. I don't know about you guys, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't getting worried. This team is only a shadow of the team that started out 5-0...check that, they're pretty much the same team, only they aren't getting so lucky as to win those games where they make so many mistakes, and they're not playing the Pirates or D'Backs. Fact of the matter is that this team is once again a .500 ballclub and will run into some major struggles this year if they don't learn how to play against playoff caliber teams.
  5. 9 ER in 2 2/3. Now we have to tap into the bullpen that is already hurting.. Don't really know what the point of the multiple trips to the mound to him tonight was. What is he going to say?? Maddux: "You're getting shelled pretty bad, Doug." Doug: "Yeah, I really am, Mike.
  6. Unreal. Never seen Davis look this awful. The two walks were the killer this inning. Have to be able to find the strike zone.
  7. And IMO this game was lost in the 8th inning tonight. We had Weeks on 2nd, nobody out, Prince in his AB, with Koskie and Clark to follow. That was our chance to tie, and we could have worried about trying to pull ahead later. But they couldn't get him in .
  8. Very disappointing loss today, considering the missed opportunities again. I've said it before, I'll say it again, we will not continue to win the close games if we continue to make the same mistakes and fail to come through in clutch situations. Eventually, it's going to catch up to us, and tonight, it did. RISP line for tonight: 1-11 with 2 outs: 0-5 14 K's is just a very poor showing for the offensive efficiency again. Sure, they can get on base, but they don't award you wins for how many guys you get to reach 2nd.
  9. And there's the story of being a Brewer fan...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Man on 2nd (after the steal), no outs, come up empty handed again. Our RISP woes continue today. (neither of our runs in the 7th came by hits with RISP). Here's hoping they can come through in the 9th, but after seeing things fall apart here in the 8th, I don't have a very good feeling.
  10. Prince K's, but Rickie on 2nd now. This may be the ballgame...just have to capitalize here... Now the walk with Damien...no way you bunt here, right?? I mean, you certainly take the 2 chances to get in that run...
  11. Prince K's, but Rickie on 2nd now. This may be the ballgame...just have to capitalize here...
  12. Weeks reaches!!! Atta baby!!! C'mon boys, 1 run game, have to get at least the tie this inning!
  13. Justin Lehr has been pretty impressive so far this season. Granted, it's still very early, but I wasn't a very big advocate of him even making the roster out of spring training and so far, he is proving me wrong.
  14. Weeks swings at Ball 4. 11 K's for Glavine. This is embarrassing. How Wynegar cannot teach a lineup as talented as this #1-#8 some better plate discipline and fundamentals is beyond me.
  15. Aytumious -- First off, 13 years without a winning season will cause some negativity. Secondly, I'm very happy with the 6-3 right now, don't get me wrong. But I think what is worrying most fans is the fact that we have shown, so far, to be a lucky 6-3 team that has played bad baseball and caught some breaks, not a good 3-6 team that has played very well but has caught some bad breaks but is clearly on the edge of breaking out. I'd rather be the latter. We still waste so many opportunities with RISP. We still strike out way too much. We still cost ourselves runs with errors. These are the things that kept us from being a playoff contender last year, and I think we are all frustrated to be seeing it again. We are 6-3 only because we have a very solid bullpen and closer, with a pitching staff that has been consistent for the most part, but our offense thus far has fallen far short of expectations.
  16. Walk to Beltran...and now the Mets are one basehit away from breaking this game wide open.
  17. Then Glavine reaches. Pitchers sure seem to hit us well so far this year. With the top of the order coming up now, Glavine getting on is sure not what we needed.
  18. Got 1 back, but still lost chances by striking out... Someone needs to tell our guys that Glavine is not 27 anymore.
  19. My goodness. Jenkins has some issues.
  20. Yep, just checked, same story as last year so far. 30th (dead last) in the majors hitting with RISP. 29th in RISP with 2 outs. And that was before today, 0-2 so far in each category tonight won't help. Not to beat on a dead horse here, and I know fault has to be put on the execution by the guys, but does Butch Wynegar have any redeeming value as a batting coach at all? If he suddenly just stopped coming to work, would the offense even get worse? I don't see how they could.
  21. 7 strikeouts through 4. Wow, are you kidding? This offense just becomes completely hapless anytime there is any threat of scoring, and Miller is basically becoming an auto-out. Pretty frustrating.
  22. GAME!!!! Somehow, the Brewers pulled this one out! Wow did we ever need the win today....6-3 going into New York...good work fellas, Carlos is the MAN, #5 for T-bow!
  23. Oh no T-Bow....4 pitch walk to lead off the 11th???? Why why why???
  24. No insurance provided... C'mon T'Bow...all up to you....
  25. UNREAL! Am I getting anyone else onboard yet with my "we need to keep Carlos Lee" talk??? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
