  1. The irony is going to be pretty rich hearing Kansas City cry about the officials if they lose today.
  2. Maybe you should stop sneaking to the left when they’re ready for it every single time.
  3. That was such an amazing effort by James Cook to break the plane and not lose possession.
  4. Only Kansas City can gain a point by jumping offsides.
  5. Yeah, there’s nothing unlucky or injury related about why we lost that game. We flat out blew it. The defense played their rear ends off and we still blew it. All we had to do with minutes left was not get our punt blocked and have it returned for a touchdown and we had it blocked and returned for a touchdown. It’s a painful game to even think about. But in no world have I ever thought we lost that game because of injuries.
  6. We can basically wash our hands clean of the last 4 years of losses if we are going to bemoan the bad luck of losing any game that we didn’t have one of David Bahktiari or Jaire Alexander available.
  7. Kansas City has been without their #1 wide receiver for almost the entire season this season. Why do we do this? Why do we need to feel the need to find an excuse for every failure from the last 30 years and rationalize that things would have been different if A and B hadn’t happened?
  8. It’s dumb that you can just blatantly run the game clock down to the 2 minute warning when the play clock is clearly going to hit :00 at 2:01. Why don’t they enforce the play clock as precisely as any other timing in the game?
  9. What a stupid challenge by McDermott. It’s basically a tie of possession which is going to go to Worthy and even if you somehow get the call they’re just going to enforce the penalty which will only mean that they can burn more clock before you get the ball back for one more shot before halftime.
  10. McDermott before today’s game: “We’re just focused on playing a good, clean game.” Yeah, our coach likes to sing that song, too.
  11. And then he threads the needle on an absolute dime on 3rd and 13.
  12. Allen is just not playing a clean game at all.
  13. I remember the year the Packers won the Super Bowl, they lost Charles Woodson to a broken collarbone relatively early in the Super Bowl, but they preserved and won it. In fact, they dealt with major injury problems that season. If injuries will forever be our crutch for why we fell short, we’re never going to see the Packers in a Super Bowl again in our lifetimes.
  14. Every team has to deal with injuries on the journeys. They won a Super Bowl with Nick freaking Foles as their starting quarterback.
  15. McDermott is going to end up losing his job for the same reason that Matt Lafleur will one day. Great regular season teams that can never get over the last hump.
  16. Looks like another vomit worthy Super Bowl incoming.
  17. If Josh Allen’s first two throws are any omen for how this game is going to go, it’s not going to be any prettier than the first game.
  18. They also had the ball at the 1 yard line with a play that is successful a vast majority of the time. I just don’t think you’re looking at all the context here either. Guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree. I don’t think you can argue that the 2nd quarter is too early to chance points though and then say a 9 point lead in the 2nd quarter is a big deal. I don’t think any of this is wildly consequential either way, honestly.
  19. I just want one Super Bowl where I can actively root for one of the teams to win the game. Is that so much to ask?
  20. If the 2nd quarter is too early to be worried about whether you’re tied or losing by 1, it’s definitely too early to worry about whether you’re up by 8 or 9. I think the 4th quarter is about when you start counting points, depending on the pace of the game. I really have no problem with any conversion decision before then as they are close to the same expected points. The default is obviously still the 1, but I would have no problem with a team that was particularly strong in 3rd/4th and short situations (not the Packers), going for 2 by default.
  21. Goedert just absolutely crying for a flag after the Eagles get away with an egregious hold on the 4th and 5 conversion.
  22. It’s a crapshoot play anytime anyway with about the exact same expected points per attempt. Washington is the best of the best at converting 4th and short attempts so if they decided that going for two after every TD throughout the season was the right call, I’d have no reason to disagree.
  23. That fake punt down 14-3 deep in their own territory was wild, and might end up being the turning point in this game and Commanders season when it’s all said and done if they win.
  24. Yeah, I think the Washington Cinderella run is over. For as loaded as this NFC playoff field was suppose to be, the Eagles could not have asked for an easier draw — Packers, Rams, Commanders.
  25. This one might not be close. Please win tonight, Buffalo.
