  1. He literally should have had 4 strikes and still didn't strike out. Would have been a travesty if we didn't win this game.
  2. Game should be over right now. That's not a ball.
  3. You're basically choosing whether there's a better shot of a slightly offline throw or missed tag, or the next guy coming through with 2 out. It's pretty much a wash for me.
  4. Not a great send, but with 2 outs I get it. If that flyout was the first out of the inning I think he would have held him. Ortiz just did not get it deep enough.
  5. Turned the game on, took about 2 minutes for me to see visual evidence of why the game needs roboumps.
  6. Someone other than Lillard or Lopez needs to contribute something offensively.
  7. They were just great pitches, and he was totally overmatched by them.
  8. I don't know what the current alternatives are, but Wiemer has no business on any 26 man roster.
  9. There's no 10 anymore. It's back to 15 unfortunately. I think. I know Yelich is on the 15 though.
  10. With that said, Holy had a chance to get out of it with 2 outs still at 2-1 and didn't get it done. 4-1 is going to be tough now.
  11. Defense gonna single-handedly cost us a game.
  12. Been quiet since halftime, but they won't need any more from him tonight.
  13. I had little faith that Lillard was going to step up with Giannis out. But, he sure is proving me wrong tonight.
  14. There are plenty of pitchers who can have successful careers as MLB relievers, who simply cannot and will not ever be an effective MLB starting pitcher. I'm not saying Hall is for sure one of those, but it's certainly within the realm of possibility that he can't be "fixed" to be a starter and at some point we'll have to embrace what he can do rather than changing it. Seems like only yesterday that some of us were adamant that Josh Hader belonged in the rotation because we didn't want to lose out on the next Chris Sale. The best thing we ever did for him or us is to just let him be Josh Hader and not try to turn him into Chris Sale.
  15. Pitching and defense picked things up the last couple games. Now it's the offense's turn.
  16. I'm not quite ready to pull the plug on the Hall experiment yet, but a couple more starts like he's given would be enough for me to send him back to the pen. You can't trot out a 7+ ERA every 5th day and expect to contend.
  17. Don't bunt guys. Ran yourself out of an inning. With a pretty hot hitter so far this year nonetheless. C'mon. There's a reason it's a dying play.
  18. I feel like Burnes may have been better than Hall.
  19. Took some stones though that's for sure. If you're letting Contreras have 2nd for free you're going from a situation where you need a HR to beat you to a situation where you need a single to beat you after the IBB.
  20. Nah, I can let that one slide. It was so borderline. Now if he hadn't called the 2-2 pitch I'd have been upset.
  21. Yep. He's up here to stay. Tough stretches for him were to be expected. He's like 20. Not like there's a service time game to play with him now. In any event, he's struggling but he's had his good moments too. It's not like he's totally lost.
  22. Contreras is the MVP of this team and it's not really close.
  23. Honestly, great win today. You're going to lose series' throughout a season, no avoiding that, but you'd like to not get swept and stay out of those prolonged losing steaks. Nice job doing that today.
  24. Help me understand in what universe that a career below replacement level player with a season .549 OPS ever, ever belongs in the 3 spot. There literally isn't a single worse option in the lineup. Did Murphy lose a bet?
