  1. I would have not PH Perkins for Chourio in the first place.
  2. Glad we had Perkins in to swing wildly at Ball 1 and then pop out on the 2nd pitch.
  3. Can someone let Murphy know that Chourio was the #2 prospect in baseball, and it's ok to let him get his feet get wet a little bit, and isn't just some random lottery ticket prospect that should be lifted every time you want to get a PH in the game?
  4. Dunn has done nothing this year or in his career to have earned that AB. I'm tired of seeing the #2 prospect in baseball get regularly pinch hit for by replacement level journeymen. Infuriating.
  5. Murphy's substitutions are infuriating. He manages a ball club like Joe Morgan would have, any young guy is getting PH by any veteran late, regardless of the quality of the veteran. He puts zero faith in young players. Regardless of what Dunn does here, I stand by that statement.
  6. This team just has a lot of little issues that are starting to get exposed. The bullpen is consistently overworked, asked to carry the load for a rotation that is 80% question marks. Yelich can't stay healthy, and without him, this offense just can't do enough consistently. Contreras can't do it all himself. The defense is supposed to be their strength, but it's already cost them a couple games. I don't want to think that April was just completely smoke and mirrors, but I don't feel great about their chances to contend over the long haul this year.
  7. The whole world every year: "Your umpires are really, really bad at their job. You should do something about that." MLB every year: "Hmm, you're absolutely right. We definitely need to continue to modernize and improve the pace of play."
  8. Turns out Game 5 was just a blip on the radar. In no way did they show up ready to build off of it today. Pacers are nothing special. They'll get bounced in the next round by either potential opponent.
  9. Absolutely brutal sequence from Brook. Misses yet another FT, turns the ball over, leads to an and one, and you go from a possible 6 point game back to 12 that quickly, then misses a layup to close the 3rd. Just brutal. They're done.
  10. 15% from 3 is not going to win you an elimination game. They've got two quarters for the shots to start falling, or this goose is cooked.
  11. They absolutely need to keep this one within single digits, have to keep it close. Maybe they can get Siakam in foul trouble.
  12. Bucks look like the tight ones now. Picking an awfully bad time to play such bad ball.
  13. I would think that having the threat of Giannis looming if they can't finish things would be pretty motivating no matter what the series lead.
  14. Man, if they had just finished the rally in Game 3...they'd still somehow be right on the cusp of winning this series despite everything.
  15. The old dog isn't quite ready to be put down yet, apparently.
  16. I don't know that there has been a less enjoyable Bucks season in my lifetime. There have been worse teams, for sure, but this one may have been the least enjoyable. They're like a sick Old Yeller at this point, just take them out back and shoot them.
  17. Jake Bauers for his career is a MINUS 1.6 WAR player. When you're going to put a player like that in the cleanup spot, not for the first time, you kind of deserve for the game to end like that on you with him up and the game on the line.
  18. There was zero reason to pinch hit Dunn there. I realize Chourio has been struggling, but it's not like Dunn is a guy you throw in there in a 1 run game in the hopes that he might just run into one. Chourio might.
  19. I don't know what the list is of teams that have given up 15+ runs in back to back games, but it can't be a very long list.
  20. I truthfully thought it would be a sexier name like TJ Tampa when they moved up to get him. Oh well. Hopefully Williams will be good.
  21. I think it's totally possible DeJean was our guy at 41 if available. I also think it's possible that we had numerous guys that we liked on that tier where if a team scooped up Dejean in front of us, we'd just pivot to a different option and we weren't going to get aggressive trading up to get him. Cooper seems like a nice value that fits a need, so Cooper+5th+6th over DeJean seems fine to me.
  22. The rebounding in the last few minutes of regulation and OT was the difference. Indiana wanted it more and outhustled us.
  23. All that just to lose anyway. That game was their shot at this series.
