  1. Easy there, Stewart. It was a great pitch.
  2. It's 2024 and I'm honestly kind of over the concept that the time honored baseball tradition of purposefully throwing a potentially dangerous object at someone at speeds of 90-100 MPH because you're upset about something they did, an act which would meet the legal definition of attempted assault in most jurisdictions, needs to continue to be a part of the game.
  3. That and he's 3 for 3 with a 2 run homer and they're sad about it.
  4. You're getting piss pounded for the second day in a row on your field and you can't get Hoskins out. I guess that's about all the fun you get if you're a Mets' fan.
  5. Good. He absolutely should be tossed. Clear intent. No warning needed.
  6. Surely you've seen how many men we've been squandering at 3rd with less than 2 out for the last 800 or so years.
  7. (Pitch 8 inches inside).... Mets fans: "Awwwwww come on!!"
  8. Looked to me like he would have made it, but wasn't a certainty I guess.
  9. This umpire hasn't been fooled, but the Mets catcher seems wicked good at framing.
  10. 5/12 "upsets" aren't exactly a rarity but this one was about as predictable as they come.
  11. Why exactly did we bring Jae Crowder back? What does he offer?
  12. Man that's really too bad. Loved the Jacobs signing when I thought we'd have both, not so much now.
  13. Yeah I don't think this means the end for Jones at all. The Packers prioritize the position and I could easily see them wanting the possible 2 headed monster at RB with JJ and Jones. Jacobs is much more similar to Dillon than Jones, although much better than Dillon. JJ and Jones can complement each other well.
  14. They'd have a good chance at stealing this if the shots were at all falling today. 3 for 20 on 3's against Purdue is not going to cut the mustard.
  15. Somehow still in it.
  16. This is going about as well as I would have expected it to go.
  17. Couldn't you argue that RB is always a great FA investment? Maybe I'm overthinking this. But...FA running backs = cheap. (Relative to other positions). So if you invest in running backs in free agency, that keeps your picks free for positions that tend to be a little more pricey in FA...WRs, pass edge rushers, offensive line....which leaves you in a better position to take advantage of rookie contracts.
  18. That's good, because they've sucked since then.
  19. Chourio is way too much to ask for Cease. Misiorowski is realistic, though. I don't think Frelick alone gets it done but I think he's a reasonable headliner. Given the state of the White Sox I think it's a mistake on their part if they don't get a deal done. As we found out with Burnes, the returns for 1 year of even an ace pitcher will be underwhelming. But they can roll the dice that he'll dominate for a few months and then deal him in the summer.
  20. Can you imagine having Anders in a FG battle game like this? Yikes.
  21. Agreed. Look at the previous snap. Was botched and very low. Something like that happens and it gets past Mahomes and time expires before someone even gets to the ball.
  22. This team is just so discombobulated. On paper, we weren't supposed to get worse.
  23. Well it was fun a week ago thinking we were really good.
  24. Sorry if this has been answered already-- is it known whether all these games will be included for Amazon Prime subscribers, or if it will require purchasing some sort of an additional add-on to the existing base Prime membership?
