  1. The second one was very bang bang. The first one was a clear bad call. Not Jim Joyce/Armando Gallaraga bad but bad.
  2. Nothing says "you suck" for a 1B ump like having an out call overturned to safe and having a safe call overturned to out within an inning.
  3. So imagine when this bullpen gets Devin back. So stacked.
  4. If you project to be a negative WAR player, shouldn't that pretty much mean, by the very definition of WAR, that you aren't worthy of a roster spot?
  5. He's had 1400 career PAs, he's bad, the prospect hype should be long gone by now. If he's on a roster he should be one of your last bench bats and not starting more than once a week.
  6. Ok, but I refuse to do the same for Bauers.
  7. Frelick isn't the guy in this lineup to lead off.
  8. I thought that was obvious, but apparently not. You are correct.
  9. Pretty clear now after 2 games that Pat Murphy was the secret genius behind the Brewers success the last decade and Counsell is going to be a lost, scared little boy on the North side without him.
  10. Despite the homer, Uribe is awesome. About as good as we could have hoped from Hall today. Definitely see the upside. I'm amazed at Jake Bauers' ability to somehow make the roster of MLB teams for enough time to accumulate 1400+ career plate appearances and collect a couple million dollars despite being wretchedly bad at baseball. So, kudos to him for that.
  11. MLB: "Lalalalala I can't hear you...pitch clock? Ghost runner in extras? More blackout restrictions?"
  12. Easy there, Stewart. It was a great pitch.
  13. It's 2024 and I'm honestly kind of over the concept that the time honored baseball tradition of purposefully throwing a potentially dangerous object at someone at speeds of 90-100 MPH because you're upset about something they did, an act which would meet the legal definition of attempted assault in most jurisdictions, needs to continue to be a part of the game.
  14. That and he's 3 for 3 with a 2 run homer and they're sad about it.
  15. You're getting piss pounded for the second day in a row on your field and you can't get Hoskins out. I guess that's about all the fun you get if you're a Mets' fan.
  16. Good. He absolutely should be tossed. Clear intent. No warning needed.
  17. Surely you've seen how many men we've been squandering at 3rd with less than 2 out for the last 800 or so years.
  18. (Pitch 8 inches inside).... Mets fans: "Awwwwww come on!!"
  19. Looked to me like he would have made it, but wasn't a certainty I guess.
  20. This umpire hasn't been fooled, but the Mets catcher seems wicked good at framing.
  21. 5/12 "upsets" aren't exactly a rarity but this one was about as predictable as they come.
  22. Why exactly did we bring Jae Crowder back? What does he offer?
  23. Man that's really too bad. Loved the Jacobs signing when I thought we'd have both, not so much now.
  24. Yeah I don't think this means the end for Jones at all. The Packers prioritize the position and I could easily see them wanting the possible 2 headed monster at RB with JJ and Jones. Jacobs is much more similar to Dillon than Jones, although much better than Dillon. JJ and Jones can complement each other well.
