    Not sure Sunday lineups are supposed to be a thing in October. Seriously though, not necessarily criticizing the lineup, because Murphy has been tough to question when it comes to results, but I don’t know how Isaac Collins went from leading ROTY candidate to almost completely in the doghouse. It’s not like he fell off a cliff. Lockridge starting in CF just makes no logical sense to me, particularly against the righty. It seems completely hunch based. Anyone have any analytical explanation for what it might be?

    The move to go to Miz yesterday for multiple innings, in a tie game at first, blew me away. I thought it was insanely risky. It took some serious stones to make that move because it would have been second guessed like you wouldn’t believe if it had backfired and we were sitting at 1-1 today. Gotta tip my cap.

    If you look at Counsell waving off the challenge on that play, you can see the look of total frustration on his face.

    Just such mixed feelings on using Miz. Sometimes it’s pure dominance. On the other hand, you can’t sustain walking a batter an inning.

    Easiest way to start turning this game in their direction would be to start walking guys at the bottom of the order.

    I’m taking that inning out of Miz and counting my blessings, but he’s not seeing the 4th if it’s my call. Some great pitches, but he was very erratic at times.

    Thank God he half swung, because no way was Estabrook ringing him up.

    I mean maybe. I just think it’s being undersold how catastrophically this could backfire. Are we forgetting that we can’t just yank him if he walks the first guy on 4 pitches? He has to face 3 batters.
