    I mean the opportunity is there to steal this game, but guys like Turang need to get it going already, and for the love of God stop giving away outs when you’re rallying.

    If they somehow come back to win, Anderson not losing Suzuki on 3-2 and striking him out instead of 1st and 2nd nobody out will be a lowkey pivotal moment of the game.

    Taillon’s stuff might have been the most hittable of anyone we’re going to see today. We kind of missed our chance there.

    Inherently that is the problem with bunting. Teams (and fans) treat it like the execution is a given (“just bunt him over to 3rd”!) when the reality is not nearly that simple. In most cases one of the “best” case scenarios still results in you sacrificing an out for some other marginally good outcome. It’s just not the good baseball play that it was once thought to be.

    It’s backfired on every playoff team that’s tried it in a big spot this playoffs. Yet here they keep doing it because, small ball, yay.

    Murphy 100% payed dearly for his lineup decisions in that inning.

    They probably have an assembly of guys they like better for Game 4 more than Quintana. The starter/reliever distinction is not that important in these games. Just 27 outs with the lead however you can get them.

    Gonna have to swing a better stick to get back in this game. Not very impressive ABs.

    Yeah, I should probably reserve judgment for now because that’s true. Just a bad looking AB, but only one AB.

    Because he enjoy watching the Brewers and knows the chances aren’t 0% of a comeback? Is enjoying a baseball game only synonymous with believing the odds of winning are greater than 50/50?

    If it’s up to me I’d pull Ortiz for Mona next time his spot comes up. His bat is beyond useless and you can’t win this game with defense at this point. Take a shot.

    I am far from the biggest Brandon Lockridge fan, but there is no one better at long, irritating at-bats. Sure wish he had taken Ball 4, though.

    I’m irritated that Vaughn has had a great playoff series, hurts the Cubs, and lo and behold we can’t help ourselves and just absolutely have to get Jake Bauers a start.

    Yep. Neither this game, nor the series are over. Teams come back from 3 runs all the time, and they also win or lose 3 games in a row all the time.

    We have 50 pitches of stress on our arms this inning and we are not even out of the 1st inning. On a day that everyone thought the wind would help us.

    Weren’t we all just saying a bit ago that this is likely a super low scoring game with the wind blowing in like it is?

    It gets pretty dicey for the arm once you start going over 40 pitches in an inning. He probably wasn’t going over 2 innings anyway.
