  1. I like seeing the OTHER team blow an early timeout that I know they’ll need later.
  2. Not sure if they’d even try a FG anymore or not. 17-6 doesn’t change things much for them.
  3. Hobbs holds and then still gives up the catch.
  4. No? Not unless I’m behind. It’s a 2 score game.
  5. I don’t agree (25 yards of field position in and of itself is worth about 1 expected point). but I do understand taking into consideration the pace and what the opposing offense is doing. They almost certainly wouldn’t tie anyway. They’d likely go for a 2 on one of the possessions like most teams these days.
  6. Have to agree to disagree. I’m almost equally fine being up 14-3 with them having the ball on their own 4 as I am being up 17-3 with them having the ball on their 30, especially for an extra shot at 21-3.
  7. Michaels is literally 80, so you’ll have that with him.
  8. McManus not very impressive tonight. I like playing for the TD there on 3rd and 4th down. 3 points doesn’t really change this game very much and even if you don’t convert on 4th, the field position advantage is massive.
  9. Whew, I’ll take the miss. The fact that the Commanders had the ball at midfield, 3 timeouts and 2 minutes left and had absolutely no interest in even trying to score a TD tells you how much respect they have for our pass rush.
  10. They might be 14-6 or 14-10 now which would be a shame for how this half has gone.
  11. Holding penalties are just drive killers. It’s basically a turnover.
  12. Maybe this is just my recency bias talking but it doesn’t feel like this particular strategy has paid off for them very often.
  13. I would say they need to come out of this homestand at least 4-2 if hanging onto the #1 is a big priority.
  14. Obviously won’t see him for a long time yet, but I’m curious to know whether Brewer fans right now would feel better with Jesus Made or Joey Ortiz at the plate.
  15. Chicago passing them would be the more likely path to not having a bye, but I agree that neither is going to happen. Chicago is just not good enough to go on a big run, and LAD dug too deep of a hole.
  16. The Brewers better decide soon whether winning enough games to hold onto the #1 seed, or rest is more important, or the Phillies will decide for them.
  17. It’s amazing to me that Seigler got opportunity after opportunity and did nothing with it, Monasterio was forced into action with the Ortiz injury and did a really good job, and the moment Ortiz walked back in the door Mona has been pretty much dead to Murphy.
  18. Someone brought up a good point earlier in this thread that if Joey Ortiz and his .500ish OPS is basically breaking records for how many times he’s coming up with the bases loaded, then your lineup structure kind of sucks.
  19. Or Durbin can just hit into a tailor-made double play on an 0-2 right down the middle mistake, that’s fine too I guess.
  20. If there’s still a chance to have this game, need to take advantage of the leadoff single and get a couple runs home this inning.
  21. Two more opportunities with RISP and Yelich and Bauers give us nothing to show for it.
