  1. Sanchez finally said “enough of this crap.”
  2. Tough to win a series batting .100 with RISP.
  3. Jake Bauers is back to looking like Jake Bauers.
  4. Even more impressive when you consider he’s had four of his strikes called balls.
  5. True, it’s been more on the hitting side. However, Sanchez was very gun shy in the 1st on three strikes that caught plenty of the plate. I wonder if they’re getting instructed to avoid challenging unless completely certain when it’s early or not a big game changing play (3-2 pitch with RISP and 2 out, for instance.) As I type this, Sanchez misses another one. To be fair that last one was really, really close.
  6. Sanchez had 3 opportunities to do something about it and passed on every one. If we are going to be as efficient as Brewer baseball usually is, we need to get better at challenging balls and strikes. One of the worst in baseball at it. Too many bad challenges and non-challenges on pitches that should be challenged.
  7. I don’t really have a problem with the decision, but the player himself doesn’t belong in the everyday lineup. Unfortunately with injuries that is where we are at.
  8. Really disappointing game. On one hand, you can’t win them all. On another hand, this game didn’t have to unfold this way and there was a lot of poor decision making all around.
  9. It’s too bad that Jett Williams isn’t making a very strong case for an early promotion. Rengifo and Matos aren’t going to help us win baseball games.
  10. Pretty disappointed in the way we pitched Contreras tonight. He challenged us and we backed down.
  11. Well, we got two back. That poorly managed 6th looms large right now.
  12. Our Conteras with the 3 run dinger would be so fitting here.
  13. How is Willson Contreras going to explain that one to his kids?
  14. I realize we weren’t going to keep Corbin Burnes anyway, but that trade has yielded a whole lot of nothing.
  15. I have absolutely no idea what Murphy was thinking this inning. It’s like he just conceding a game.
  16. I guess we’ll never know. A Brewer pitcher throwing intentionally at a hitter on a non-rival team not even in our league just for admiring a HR seems so random that I’m not sure it was intentional or if Peralta just did it on his own. I can’t see Murphy playing that game when they’ve had 100 moments that justified it more.
  17. We haven’t played that game since the Ned Yost days. Seriously. Think of one retaliatory beanball in the last 15 years or so. Maybe one in the Roenicke era, but not that I recall.
  18. How did Yelich get his finger in there? It looked like he was going to be a dead duck.
  19. What a terrible home plate umpire. If you’re not going to ask for help on a check swing, you better be right. He wasn’t.
  20. Of all the guys you let get to you with two outs, you just had to let that turd Contreras get to you. Bad 2-2 pitch.
  21. Just hard to guess what Murphy was thinking with that approach.
  22. I would have put Watson and Reed as maybe a 3rd each in value and Wicks closer to a 5th. But then the Bills just gave up a 2nd for DJ Moore who seemed like more of a cut candidate than anything so now I just have no idea.
