    Well, I'm 54. Michigan and Ohio State dominated the Midwest in the 70's. I don't know the logistics, but I think the limit was in the 90's(?) Whenever it was reduced to 85, that opened the door for other schools (ahem, Wisconsin) to become competitive.

    Thank you for the advice. Just before Christmas, I had to go in to Spectrum and swap out receiver boxes as the old one was getting old. Putzing around the new one with the remote and it appears I have access to Netflix. I haven't done a deep dive to see if it would be a monthly fee or PPV. Really have no interest in monthly fees as we watch a movie once every month or two.

I had a feeling that they would be the pre-season #1 if there had been a fall season. At least the NCAA moved the tournament to the spring, so a chance at a national title still exists. Won't be able to see them in person, but at least a season will be played.

    Checked the news this morning to learn the remaining Family Video stores are closing, ASAP. Yeah, go ahead and laugh (at me). We all knew the day would eventually come, but I was hoping later than sooner. I wasn't big on going out to the movies when I was young, so I had been making the effort the last ten months to catch up on the 70's and 80's films that I missed out on. I don't currently stream and have no desire to subscribe to a service at this time.

    I've been to few. I go in knowing there will be no one in my industry, so getting to know anyone will be useless in getting me a job. I just go to meet people and have intelligent conversation and see how other people make their livings.

    Tape and satellite delay or am I missing something? I don't think it would be a satellite delay thing since ABC was fifteen seconds *fast* and FOX eighteen seconds fast.

    Off topic, but I noticed both FOX and CBS had double headers yesterday. The first time I've seen it. Anyone here notice it happening before? Was this a Week 17 thing? A COVID season thing? So many weird things this season.

    As someone old enough to remember Saturday afternoon baseball, maybe it has to do with Saturday evening baseball being a "marquee" event - something for the community to get buzzed about. I believe Milwaukee's first Sat night game was in 1978. (An aside, Game 4 of the '82 WS was played on a Saturday afternoon).

    https://time.gov/ The major networks have national broadcasts of the countdown to the new year, and the clocks they utilize are off by as much as fifteen seconds. It's not that hard to get it right. P.S. I am an engineer, so I'm anal.

    Looking to finish work by 11:30 so I can get over to the Brewhaus for a quick sandwich and catch the second quarter. Then get home for the second half.

    I'm with turbo on this one. Maybe because we're from the same generation? Just turn on the TV and click to 31..and the Brewers! Also my eclectic taste in sports, so the niche channels offered get utilized often.

    So, is today's game still considered a crossover, or does it count in the standings? Just now realizing it's a bit odd the B1G conference champion is being determined, then UW-UM will play their game.

    Because it's collusion. And it goes against being a fan, that wanting your team a fair shot at winning a title in a given year.

    My former co-worker is a Serbian immigrant and she is hounded by her family and old neighbors for Giannis jerseys, and not the replicas.

    I watched Man City match, and looked like there weren't any fans yet. If there were any at all they were few and well-hidden. I watched that match as well. Manchester is in a Tier 3 zone, so no fans yet. London is Tier 2, So Saturday's West Ham United men's match and Sunday's Chelsea women's match had limited number of spectators.

    England had fans at their soccer matches in London this weekend for the first time since March 9. London is Tier 2 and Manchester is Tier 3. Maybe the first step back to normalcy?

    True. By invoking Morton, I was referencing to the benchmark of ineptitude and the first opportunity to bury it in the past.

    Let's see, I was there in 1992 when they fumbled under a minute left while setting up for a winning FG. A win would have made them bowl eligible for the first time since the Morton era. Another game in the 90's sitting in the sleet and they were shoutout, I believe. Maybe something to do with busing down day of game?

    You really don't see much of that anymore. They've really cracked down on that.
