  1. Injected with Moderna #1 on 2:30 pm Wednesday and at 10:30 the arm was getting sore. Slept fine through the night. Woke up at 5:30 am and otherwise felt great. Around 9:30 am all at once felt like I got hit by a Mack truck and spent most of the rest of the day flat on my back with aches, chills and no energy nor appetite. Friday morning was 80% better with a bit of a headache and by evening was fine. Ran twelve miles Saturday morning.
  2. People who post/share political content on LinkedIn. I consider LinkedIn an extension of your workplace.
  3. I still have my 1987 shirt. Seeing the Bally's logo makes me want to grab my gym bag and go back to 1995 to work out at the gym. Except for the "outs" count. Prefer a digit over a graphic. Agreed. Also, the hair. No. Even at the time we knew that throw-in was unnneccessary. You were a Pilots fan?
  4. I'm not going to predict the division, but just to go on record to say 87 wins for the Brewers. Additions of Wong and Bradley, a bounce back year for Narvaez.
  5. Outside the box with this one, but I don't care your gender. Up two goals with 2:24 left in your (NWHL) title game is NOT the time to take a 5-minute major.
  6. Also, did the AD announce any of the other finalists? Or is that not done anymore? I wonder who else was considered.
  7. She was terrific. I’d put the original 53 episodes of Arrested Development up against any network sitcom of the past 20 years. The rubes just didn’t get it. That show was way ahead of its time. The other thread where you guys talk about binge watching programs, well I'm just not into it. However, if I ever get enough time in my life, two shows - "Arrested Development" and "30 Rock". Didn't get to see enough of it.
  8. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Looks like a similar signing as Bobbie Kelsey. Hopefully with better results.
  9. Issues? I don't have a smart phone. I use my phone primarily to text and phone my wife. That is what a phone is for. I paid $150 for it and about $15 a month. I don't need it for anything else. I realize society is going in that direction, but I hesitate to drop $800 plus whatever monthly charges just to text my wife that I'm on my way home. Oh well.
  10. Yeah, you walk up to the box office. Yeah, that was my first thought as well. Not always convenient. Or, would printing a ticket from home still an option? Forgot to mention in my previous post getting to a 2018 NLCS game was not a smooth transaction. Hence, the anxiety.
  11. This e-ticket thing could cause issues for me going forward. I'll wait to see if there is a work-around.
  12. Thoughts of George Costanza in my head.
  13. My son is 24, and trying to date but he says it is an absolute nightmare, especially using apps. I feel bad for him. I would think it would be the opposite. It used to be: - meet someone from school. - meet someone from work. - meet someone in a bar. - introduced by a mutual friend. The second one is not recommended. The fourth one works better for those with a wide social network. An advantage of online dating is that it levels the playing field for those without the large social network, as well as eliminating the bar scene.
  14. Just want to mention an old friend has a daughter playing for FCGU. Played her final game yesterday and my first chance watching her. Looks just like her dad. Pretty neat to see someone two degrees of freedom playing in the dance on ESPN. Her grandparents and my parents are in the same retirement home, a few doors down. My dad says he will talk him up about it during group exercise today.
  15. I wonder how that single play will rank in Badger Sports lore. Not quite a Darrell Bevell Rose Bowl scamper or Wes Matthews half-court shot. Given women's hockey is not the highest profile, so maybe the next tier?
  16. Well, if Shawn Johnson was a male and played football, she would be a millionaire many times over. So if this is the avenue available to her to cash in on her success, so be it.
  17. Love it. I'll have to look for him Saturday. I wished the Fab 5 never came about.
  18. Nice win for the Badger women. A fast start and hang on. Losing after being up 3-0 would have been devastating. However, not sure they were the better team after the first intermission. Still a win over the Ohio State University is nice in any sport. Title game Saturday night on ESPNU.
  19. When the Brewers announced they were going with a new logo, I was excited because IIRC it was the same person who designed the neat Seattle, Baltimore et al logos. Then "it" came out...
  20. That Lourdes win last night was one of the more amazing turnarounds, especially at that level. Never give up!
  21. Some states use a "past successes" formula where they can bump a team up a division. In the past the WIAA has discussed this option, but tabled it.

  23. Now his former college athlete wife can play for the Cubs' wives when they play Brewers' wives in the charity softball game. [sarcasm]Cubs win this deal.[/sarcasm]
