  1. It's because Ben doesn't have the Eye of the Tiger and he doesn't know how to win. Graffy better hit a 3-run homer to make up for all of this.
  2. Who watches the Brewers broadcast and doesn't know the trivia question? Way to stay hot, Jenks.
  3. .... That's all I can say without getting into trouble.
  4. Braun isn't up because of his defense, correct?
  5. Sheets excels at home day games. The shadows make his curve impossible to hit. Here are his splits: Day: 1.96 Night: 3.17 Also, the Brewers roster page shows every player as #42.
  6. Eh, I think they'll manage 72 wins. Everyone knows they will be bad, and I don't think they have a true rival*. So I see a lot of teams planning their rotation to not have their aces face that team, and have their best hitters get off days against them. *The Cubs and Cards always want to beat us, the Pirates want to beat us to get to .500 first, and there is no love lost between the Brewers and Reds. I don't think too many NL East teams have the same feelings for the Ex-Pos/Nats.
  7. Also, I won't be able to make the April 7th practice. There's the little matter of the Brewers/Cubs game at noon.
  8. I'll look into it a bit and see if my gut feeling can be supprted by numbers I am shocked. I never thought I'd hear Russ say something about his gut before checking the numbers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif I think people believe giving up a walk is as bad as giving up a hit because you always hear "a walk is as good as a hit" and moneyball emphasis on walks. A little truer analagy is that a walk is nearly as good as a hit. A walk doesn't move all the baserunners over. Nor does it allow baserunners to take two bases. Nor can the defence commit an error and allow extra bases. However, there is always the chance of a baserunning error to allow an out on the play. My gut says there aren't going to be many low K/low BB guys. If they have the command to not walk many batters, they can probably have enough command to get a decent K rate. Inversely, if they don't have the command to get the K, they probably miss the zone a lot and give up BB.
  9. I work on and off Saturdays. I know I can't make the first one, not sure yet about any of the other ones.
  10. Yeah, Moe, that team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked! I've seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked! I gotta go Moe my damn weiner kids are listening.
  11. I don't know, suddenly it started working. Very weird.
  12. I haven't been able to get to the Fan Forum at BF.net since last Wednesday. I can get the home page and all the other pages, but the forum pages fail to load. I get a timed out problem. I usually use Firefox and I tried IE, but neither worked. I then googled ezBoard, and I could not get any of their pages to load. I have not had a problem with any other websites. I just tried 2.5 hours ago, and it wouldn't work. I come into work (where I'm not supposed to be on sports sites) and it works fine. Any ideas or suggestions? I feel at a loss not being able to visit the forum now that the team is playing games.
  13. I sent you an email but I haven't heard back. I need your address to send you a check.
  14. Oops, haven't checked this subforum in a while. I wanted to play again.
  15. While the first batter is up: "This may be a low scoring game." Or not.
  16. Schroeder also legs out a double. And at the time he was considered slow, but today it would be considered decent speed. This has to be the luckiest no-no ever. There were several bombs that just went foul and several great plays at 3B and in the OF. My uneducated guess about the flag: Baltimore is where the Star-Spangled Banner was written, so maybe it's a tribute to that. IIRC, the flag had 15 stars during the War of 1812.
  17. Somebody has to type those prices into the cash register computers. It's also possible that the person hit a wrong number putting the price into the computer.
  18. I was at both of those games. :P In fact, if you recorded it, the double in the bottom of the 10th hit the yellow padding right in front of me. You can see me jumping up and down because I thought it was a HR.
  19. Geez, we're down by 3 already? With Kineey pitching and our offense, we'll never win this game. I should just go to bed now.
  20. The trading of Davis bugs me because I'm so used to seeing his picture with Hawing's posts.
  21. Couples who sit on the same side of the booth at restaurants. I'm going to try this out the next time I'm out with the lady, just to mess with her. I don't remember seeing that before. I don't like the English language in general. What is the reason for rules if there's always an exception. I just wish it was more formalized to make grammar and spelling easier.
