  1. This. Parking prices have become absurd for the marquee games. They cost the same as any other game if you buy them ahead of time. Just an FYI.
  2. I agree. Although, I've watched Frosty for 30 consecutive years. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  3. Pick up Cutler, then watch the weather. Sloppy weather = tough to throw in.
  4. http://saveourbucks.com/ There is a billboard going up within the next week or so. The fact that Save Our Bucks has been on national radio stations, and has been in the news locally... people are finally criticizing Kohl's reign. Kohl is getting out in front of it, which is wonderful. There have been reports from years about players contacting the Senator directly to get deals done, or to complain about things on the team. That is a horrible way to run the business. He has never given autonomy to basketball minds. This announcement is the first step in that direction. Dare I say it, I am optimistic.
  5. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/dec/13/germany-build-own-world-cup-hotel-training-base-brazil Germany is building its own compound for the World Cup. That's pretty darn amazing.
  6. And as I've gotten no replies.... http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article/mlb/blue-jays-bring-back-tomo-ohka-as-knuckleball-pitcher?ymd=20131212&content_id=64624756&vkey=news_mlb Which reminds me of this: https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=702954032460
  7. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/24372584/utility-man-jerry-hairston-jr-retires-joins-dodgers-broadcast-team What a utility guy. I won't soon forget the "Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!" chants echoing through Miller Park during the 2011 NLCS.
  8. They have the most wins vs top 50 and top 100 in the RPI in the nation, and they haven't lost yet. They've played solid competition and they deserve it, thus far.
  9. I don't know what Milwaukee is doing, but they haven't salted anything yet, which caused accidents during the freezing rainstorm (which was predicted a week in advance) and they have done a horrible job with the plows for 3" of snow today (which was known about for a week in advance).
  10. Man, these Yankees would be really great in the mid 2000's.
  11. I googled this Will Smith fellow, and quickly found out he performs the rap music for the New Orleans Saints. Who knew?
  12. Who's endorsing anything? I would do exactly the same thing in that situation. I think those who are acting holier than thou and act like they wouldn't are lying just as bad as Braun did.
  13. Udoh and a playoff appearance. i mean, that playoff appearance was a thrill ride, wasn't it? "If they could somehow turn an guy like Ilyasova into a second lottery pick.." asking honestly, is Ilyasova worth that, or is he more like "hooray, we picked up yet another second rounder!" ? They definitely could have had Washington's first rounder this coming draft in exchange for Ersan during the off season, but as always, our front office decided to go into the season with 8 front court players.
  14. This year, this draft, you take whomever the best player available is. You don't draft for your current roster. You make your roster fit around anyone who you get. They should be moving anyone they can for draft picks this year. Ersan, Udoh, Mayo, Butler, Neal, Zaza... Somehow, I can't help but think that the front office is thinking, "We're only 3 games out of the 8th seed."
  15. No this team is awesome! Awesomely bad! Seriously though wasn't this the wish of some on here for the Bucks to completely tank and go after the draft picks? I'd argue the wish of some on here (well, myself at least) was for the team to go young, and take flyers on young guys. Instead, our GM completely ineptly tried to navigate to the 8th seed, and now, from the 8th, 10th, and 10th picks from 2008, 2009 and 2011, is now showing up as Brandon Knight and Khris Middleton. Also, he's managed to turn Andrew Bogut into Ekpe Udoh. That level of ineptitude is amazing. They thought this roster would compete for the 8th seed!!
  16. I guess, I've never understood the rage over steroids. Gosh darned him for wanting to be the best and healthiest player he could possibly be. Gosh darned him for lying and saving himself, oh, 10ish Million in endorsement deals.
  17. This. There is never a line to go through the turnstyles.... aside from maybe bobblehead days. There is a line to get into the first set of doors.
  18. Great. Now I have to buy a new brand of Salsa.
  19. Giannis with his 3rd DNP, CD in 10 games tonight. Getting the Gamel treatment.
  20. Traevon Jackson is going to get benched if he keeps playing the way he has. I don't know why Bo went away from going big against GB, when the Badgers absolutely dominated the game when they went that way. Koenig looked solid getting his first real burn this season (Marshall was out with a concussion). A few times, he turned the ball over throwing it to a guy who wasn't expecting it... I think if guys get used to his ability to find the open man, it will really create more for the team.
  21. He's been under a WIN NOW edict for 5 seasons, and they have had a winning record exactly ONCE. He GOT EXTENDED for TWO MORE YEARS last year. Aside from that, drafting is actually the one thing Hammond has been good at. I just cannot even begin to fathom the dysfunction in the Bucks front office.
  22. I think against teams with size you will see a lot less of Dekker at the 4 and 3-guard lineups without Gasser (who is a great rebounder), so rebounding will be less of a problem.
  23. And for that he belongs in the Medical Patient hall of fame, not the MLB hall of fame... at least, in my opinion.
  24. So much for trading him.
  25. I think Simmons should be a lock to get in. Also, I think you're selling Quisenberry short. He threw 1043 innings in 12 seasons. Mariano Rivera thew 1283.... in 7 more seasons. Over his 6 year peak, he averaged 121 IP per season. He wasn't a "Closer" as you know of it these days. He was one of the last true "fireman". If Suter and Gossage are good enough to get in, then Quisenberry should be in as well.
