  1. ...He put up a -8 OPS+ He is much, much worse at doing anything offensively than Tellez.
  2. They won their next two after the Brewers series! The joined the Rockies as the second team with two eight game losing streaks this season.
  3. As far as I know it's the exact opposite. https://urbanmilwaukee.com/2017/04/20/murphys-law-the-failed-promise-of-miller-park/ The agreement provides a financial boost to the Brewers because any money earned at the non-baseball events goes directly to the team under the Brewers lease. The Brewers keep the revenue from parking, food and merchandise.” Yep, yet another gift from the taxpayers of this five-county metro area (which includes Racine county, much to the continuing anger of its residents), who get no cut of the concert revenues in the stadium they built.
  4. It's a money making venture. More events, no grounds crew, more money in Mark A's pockets at the detriment of the players.
  5. PGH is the airport code for Pittsburgh. Just like CLT is Charlotte.
  6. On this date in 2011, the Brewers were 40-34. I sense a second half like 2011 this season.
  7. Sure looked like Yelich could've had that double.
  8. I usually have to login normally then turn in my VPN and refresh the homepage.
  9. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/the-reverse-boycott-in-oakland-was-a-rowdy-success/ I feel bad for A's fans, getting hosed like Milwaukee Braves fans 60 years ago.
  10. We only have more lakes because our definition of lake is "slightly larger than a puddle" compared to Minnesota's much more stringent definition.
  11. Love how you use B-R WAR which uses ERA instead of FIP to make your argument look better, when those brewers teams had awful, awful defenses.
  12. I mean, the bullpen is a bit over worked
  13. Oakland taking playing possum to a whole new level.
  14. Some of my favorite tips: On hot days (or any day, really), the Selig Experience in the LF corner on the 200 level is a nice break from the game, a bit of Brewers history and, maybe most importantly, air conditioned. You can bring in almost anything food and drink wise, except alcohol. Lots of history to see around the outside of the stadium. There is a plaque in the brewers 1 lot, marking where #755 landed. There is the original home plate from County Stadium, along with a monument to the 1950's Braves just north of Helfaer field. The Brewers Wall of Honor is on the 3B side wall, near the LF corner entrance The Brewers Walk of Fame is around the OF concourse outside the stadium
  15. They did this in Seattle when I was there in '16. It was wonderful.
  16. The guy Hiura hopes to be is Nelson Cruz.
  17. One of my angriest moments as a Brewers fan involved Brian Shouse. https://www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article/8077/prospectus-today-justice-in-milwaukee/ Also, Shouse got credited for the loss in a 2006 game I attended in St Louis. He faced 1 hitter, intentionally walked him, then Coco Cordero blew the save. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/MIL/2006-schedule-scores.shtml
  18. Just to reiterate this point, Keston had the 4th worst Zone Contact % of any hitter with over 150PA's according to Fangraphs.
  19. Because he can't hit pitches in the zone. If you can't make contact with pitches in the zone, you are going to strike out, a lot. No matter what. His K% hasn't regressed at all. Since June 1, he had 68 PA and K'd 32 times. That's 47%.
  20. Hiura has the second worst Z-Contact% in baseball amongst those with 50PA. SECOND WORST. The idea that anything he has done so far is sustainable is simply not the case. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=50&type=5&season=2022&month=0&season1=2022&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=2022-01-01&enddate=2022-12-31&sort=7,a
  21. I absolutely hate recruiters that cold call me. Does this actually work? Email me with the job description. Don't call me and ask, "Well, I'm looking at your resume, what are you looking for?" I've been doing virtually the same job for 10 years. What the heck do you think I'm looking for, you sleezy salesman?
  22. Not sure where you're located, Jimbo, but I know Blast Cleaning Technologies in Milwaukee is always looking to hire good people. Also, I've heard through the grapevine that Milwaukee tool is about to do a big expansion into the Sun Prairie area over the next 6 months or so.
