https://www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article/3634/assessing-productive-outs-little-things-mean-a-little/ Non-repeatable and overhwelmingly luck based. Baserunning as a whole, however, the Brewers are tops in MLB by a WIDE margin, per Fangraphs. They are farther ahead of 2nd place, than 2nd place is from 10th. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?team=0%2Cts&sortcol=18&sortdir=default&pagenum=1

I was at his last great game as a Brewer when he out dueled Jake Peavy and let out a shout once they won and 1-0. Still one of the biggest what ifs of my Brewers fandom.... Sabathia, Sheets and Gallardo.... https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MIL/MIL200809060.shtml

As (I believe) the original creator of the 2011 thread, I'm happy to be able to post this one....

They were like 20-3 in 87. They haven't had the best record in baseball in the second half since 82, I believe.

And I said in my own words I want to play left field. It ain't his decision.

He just became the first Brewers pitcher to win 7 straight starts since Cal Eldred.

You should watch the video. The cops should have just wrote him a ticket.

Or at 3AM in West Allis you get assaulted, threatened and pinned to the ground. Then get a million dollars from the tax payers.

It's going to be worse. There will only be offshore QA to ensure the AI developed code works, is secure and meets customer demands. Btw, what's your SSN?

Joe Posnanski, as always, nails it. https://joeblogs.joeposnanski.com/p/farewell-mr-baseball

Quoting myself here, but if you never heard about Bob's alter ego, this is the one clip you should definitely listen to:

I quickly threw together a playlist of clips I'd saved over the years (2008, 2011 mostly) of some Ueck calls and figured this group may want to take a listen. Here's the relatively short playlist:

The type of cancer he had is brutal and quick. My Dad passed this summer, 2 months after being diagnosed. They very well could have known (and caught it early) but with that type of hyper aggressive stuff you never know how long they have.

I'm trying to come up with 200 million in FA signings. Turns out, I'm pretty sure they are counting Churios contract. So that's more than 1/3 of the money. Him and Hoskins are half.

I think you're missing likely call ups, or AAA guys and the like. Eg, Tyler Black

I'm a board game nerd. Giving family a wonderful gateway boardgame is my jam. Monopoly sucks. It's the golden age of boardgames right now.
