  1. He would've been their backup 3/4 man next year. Berg, Flattop, Gasser, Jackson (PG), Bruiser.
  2. I've no problem with Gomez playing vs LHP. He has no business hitting anywhere but 8th.
  3. Gomez has a sample size of 2,000 at bats of sub .300 OBP.
  4. Will Carroll's article stated this: I cannot say that any of Braun's people have spoken to this point specifically, however.
  5. Supposedly they are at a stand near 106 (?) according to a newspaper article. I didn't have my normal RF bleacher seats last game, otherwise I could've confirmed.
  6. Joe got fired up a few times last night (for example, when Marcum ended the 6th with a big K), I think he's still finding his voice with Uke (it took Provus a half season before he was more than a wind-up hyena towards Uke).
  7. Rickie lost the ball either in the lights or the ribbon board. Wonder if the Brewers are going to complain about it being too bright when the Cardinals are hitting.
  8. Gomez walked once in spring training. Until he learns what is and what isn't a strike he won't put anything together.
  9. It really, really is weird. I still haven't forgiven him for that 2007 walk-off.
  10. So, that Zack Greinke guy, he's pretty good, right? Lets go bats.
  11. Not really surprising. It is bar-day, so the crowd (yet again) will be late arriving.
  12. I listen to this and all I can think is "Baseball baseball baseball... brewwwwwwwwwwers brewwwwwwwwers..."
  13. No, they don't ignore it. Not all streets are two hour parking.
  14. The reason for that is when you go to (most) restaurants and order a vegetarian option (something a lot of people do to try things out) they are almost always incredibly bland.
  15. If you're going to play a single line, there is truly, only one choice. Biz Markie.
  16. I've been turned away (and seen people turned away) from the club level entrances more than once. These are the ones which lead directly to an escalator going up to the club level, and are clearly marked "Club Level" on the outside of the stadium.
  17. There is zero reason to not hit Corey Hart second vs LHP. Zero. Zilch. None. Nada.
  18. I agree, Turbo. It is a song with a cadence and a rhythm. It is designed to build, and build, and build until the top gets blown off at the end. If you're going to mess with it, you've gotta do better than Marvin. You can't. So don't try.
  19. I was actually thinking Gamel not Aoki. I'm worried it will be both.
  20. As far as I know the gates in the LF corner and RF corner should both be open. Don't stand in the club lines, however, they won't let you in unless you have club level tickets. These are midway down 1B and 3B lines. Also, due to the nature of opening day, I've rarely found the lines to be bad at all, as so many people don't get in for the first pitch.
