  1. Surprised this hasn't been bumped yet today.... half-dollar sized hail reported in Watertown. Crazy.
  2. Tough break for the Giants, Pablo Sandoval is out with a broken hamate bone in his wrist.
  3. Yes, correct. 60 day means an extra 40 man slot.
  4. Ishikawa now has 30 PA's on the season and he's made 26 outs.
  5. They do make some good beers, you just have to track down their Big Eddy brews.
  6. Derrek Lee? http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_AIpZDlxgE_Q/TUM2qMfG4kI/AAAAAAAAAdc/sfSukuzjq9M/s1600/cy.jpg
  7. Yost starting catcher wasn't in his mid 20's. Lucroy vs Damien Miller is a bit different. I don't quite get all the Kottaras love for a board that rightfully values sample sizes and defense so much. Kottaras really is still just awful defensively. After watching Lucroy wear down and really struggle the last two months of last season at the plate, and having him catch the 2nd most games in MLB (despite missing 2 weeks of the season), I want to see our backup more this year. If that's Kottaras love? Fine, call it that. But if he gets the platoon advantage, he is a solid weapon to have. I know he won't OPS 1.000 over the season, but I'd wager he could OPS .800 going forward.
  8. Well, he's 4 total bases away from the single game record. (Which was held by Joe Adcock before this game)
  9. I swear the team has never worked on leading off with a LHP on the mound. Ever.
  10. Don't worry, with the ASG coming up, I'm sure they'll put the NL MVP front and center... oh wait.... http://cdn0.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/250799/asg12_ballot_launch.jpg
  11. Punch top: When you want to spend 30 seconds figuring out the can, so you can pour it 1 second faster!

  13. He's only started 18/22 games. What is off by that? That means our no-hit, LH backup 1B is on pace to start 30 games. That is way, way too many.
  14. Well, the Cards, Atlanta, and the Rockies will have three of the better hitting lineups in the NL this year for sure. What scares me, though, is that they gave up 18 runs in the 3 games to Houston. Axford's ERA is nearly 5, K-Rod's is over 6. They are a part of the problem as well. The bullpen right now has allowed 46% of inherited runners to score. That is horrible. By far the worst in the league -- league average is 29%. This has both inflated bullpen ERA's as well as SP ERAs.
  15. The 19.2 million was not what they made last year. It has been explained to you previously, I suggest you have a read.

  17. Alright, BF.net. I heard a song out at a bar yesterday, and I really have no idea who it is by or the actual lyrics, so I can't seem to track it down on the interwebs. What I do recall is that it was a punk-rockish tune, similar to maybe a Dropkick Murphy's song, and the chorus had a line that went very similar to "If I met/knew (name), I'm sure that we'd be friends." And even though I know it wasn't, the 'name' sounded exactly like Mat Gamel. Hence why I want to find this song. This may be futile, but don't fail me now, Brewerfan!
  18. Zack cannot buy a close pitch called strike. This is nuts.
