  1. I would take Tony Parker and Russell Westbrook over Rose fairly easily. Those were the two toughest for me. I really think Rose is better than both of them, and it would really show through if he weren't the best guy on his team. If he didn't have to create so much on offense for the Bulls.
  2. I'd say Rose is for sure top 5 in the NBA in PGs. Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Steve Nash, Rajon Rondo, and Rose. Mo on the other hand, might be lucky to crack the top 15. If the Bucks played the Cavs, I'd argue the Bucks would've had the 2nd, 3rd and 4th best players in the series when healthy. Obviously LeBron is way above anyone the Bucks have, but still, that's just a lack of talent, that after... what... 7 years of LeBron should've been rectified in Cleveland, somehow.
  3. They become a LOT better version of the Cavs.Rose, Deng and Noah are probably better than anyone on the Cavs, other than LeBron. It's very, very rare for one guy to win a title by himself, without another top 25 guy in the league. LeBron probably doesn't even have another top 50 guy on the team with him in Cleveland.
  4. A fair offer? Not for Prince. When he's almost for sure gonna get 5/125 or even 4/100 out of someone, 6/109 is nothing.
  5. Um... when they made the trade: Sheets: 10-2, 2.77 ERA, 97K, 26BB in 117 IP.I'm pretty sure he was healthy and pitching like an ace.
  6. I can't wait to read Joe Posnanski's thoughts on the hiring.Or Ned's attitude. Or some general Nedisms.
  7. Every season?Or just take a shot at it when it seems like everything clicks and play for a winning season every year? 2008 they went for it. Sheets got hurt, and Sveum started Jeff Suppan in the most important game in 25 years. I just wonder how anyone who isn't a Yankees or a Red Sox fan can have those types of expectations. The Brewers have 3 teams in their division who spend significantly more money than they do on players. I don't think this can be said enough.
  8. The Brewers blew their chance to do that when they moved out of the worst division in baseball in 1998.The fact is, the Brewers are in a division with 1 team who can spend way more than them (the Cubs), and two teams who can spend 10-20% more than them (Cardinals, Astros). With the Cardinals maybe being the best run team in baseball currently. Saying "Do it like the Twins" is getting old. The Brewers have to do things like the Twins and get really really lucky on top of that.
  9. All I could think of watching it is: This episode could've been put in any previous season and done what it did here: Added absolutely nothing.
  10. He should be playing instead of Inglett, and he should definitely be in CF instead of Edmonds and his teacup range. It's not his fault that the manager can't realize that the 30 year old who's an above average defensive OF might be better than the 40 year old who can't run.
  11. Is it wrong that I'm actually glad I didn't have any tickets for this home stand?
  12. Another loss for Dave Bush. Another week of hearing about "how much he sucks" from sports talk radio and other random idiots.
  13. If they're on the 40 man roster they don't get tested for recreational drugs. I believe. Edit: Found a brief explanation...
  14. He got highlights because some strands are more important than others. Sigh. I miss Mitch Hedberg.
  15. According to the Detroit News, the big 10 is on the verge of adding 5 schools, and bumping up to 16.
  16. I suppose this is another reason to start Edmonds in CF and leave poor Gerut on the bench. How Inglett is getting time out there is beyond me.
  17. http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/yost-infection/ Yost was horrible at managing the bullpen.
  18. A great article over on ESPN on Wesley Matthews of the Utah Jazz (and formerly of Marquette)
  19. Just for one day.... Gabe Kapler makes the last out in Braden's perfect game.
  20. Just for one day.... Gabe Kapler makes the last out in Braden's perfect game.

  22. So, according to the lineup posted the ancient Jim Edmonds who's range is about the size of a teacup is playing CF, while (much) younger and more rangey and faster Jody Gerut is playing RF. Would someone please tell Ken Macha that it's not 1999 anymore.
  23. Please no. Please. Please, please, please. Hart is only half a step above Braun defensively now (comparatively, I'd say Gomez is 10 steps above Braun defensively) If you put him in CF, with our flyball staff, that's probably raising team ERA a run a game.
  24. Come on, this has to be made up.JJ doesn't dive and he doesn't triple...
  25. You thought we'd lost it as Brewers fans.... This guy wrote his entire game review in pig latin...
