  1. Dye would make the same as Hart, would be much much much worse in the OF, and would hit about the same vs LHP. I don't understand the fascination.
  2. Grilling out in the lot before games, and attending many games started by Gallardo, Wolf and Bush... and almost none started by Suppan or Davis.
  3. How many people and how long are you staying? That's the off season in Colorado, a lot of times you can find skii condo rentals SUPER cheap in the summer time (I paid $700 for a week in a 3 bedroom condo like 2 years ago)
  4. Delfino goes down hard and accidentally gets his head/neck stepped on and has to be carried off on a stretcher. He has movement in all his extremities, though. Hopefully he is alright, and can come back as strong as ever. Ugly loss, no Bogut, no Ersan and very little Delfino.
  5. Considering both Cy Young winners had less than 18 wins last year, I'd say that criteria is a bit skewed.... but it does show how rare pitching really is.
  6. And Counsell getting starts at 3B and SS as well, while Gamel & Escobar were on the roster, respectively.
  7. If Edmonds plays more than a handful of games in CF that probably negates the slight defensive advantage Gomez has over Cameron in CF. The defense should be better (Healthy McGeehee, Gomez, Escobar and Zaun all being minor steps up over last year), Offense should be about the same from SS. Will probably take a hit at CF and 3B. C and RF should both be much improved. The backup for Zaun shouldn't hit any worse than Kendall did. He was the worst every day hitter in all of baseball last year. Zaun will probably be at least 100 points of OPS better than Kendall. That's about the difference between Mike Cameron and Ryan Braun.
  8. You mean the year that their third leading scorer and leading rebounder was out for the season with a dislocated elbow?Or 03-04 when Tucker missed all but 4 games on a team that could've competed for a final 4 birth with him. Or 04-05 when everything was lined up for a solid run... but Harris went pro a year early. Everyone seems to think going to the sweet 16 is easy, well, only 2 teams have done it the last 3 years: MSU and Xavier.
  9. Considering UW was one of the last 3 schools Evan Turner was choosing between... just imagine if he'd have gone and played for Bo.
  10. You're missing a ( somewhere in there.
  11. Hopefully by next season, Leuer and Taylor can figure out how to run a pick and roll. Obviously Hughes and Leuer never figured out how to do it, after watching the last two games.
  12. Two sweet 16's and an Elite 8 in 9 years is awful? C'mon. It's not like Bo Ryan has had all-world recruits, and they've gotten hugely unlucky with injuries at tournament time as well (Tucker & Butch getting hurt in different years)
  13. Where are the vaunted screens and picks that the swing offense does? This "Trevon, dribble at the top of the key for 15 seconds" offense isn't exactly lighting the world on fire.
  14. The problem is you're asking for an irrational function. A rational function has at most one horizontal asymptote or oblique (slant) asymptote, and possibly many vertical asymptotes.
  15. If poor performance in day games is any indication, the entire team partied too much last year. BA/OBP/SLG Day: .226/.308/.387 (~1800 ABs) Night .280/.357/.445 (~3700 ABs)
  16. I like Johnson as well, he'd be a guy who could fill in at the 4 for 10-15 minutes a night, giving the Bucks more options in their rotation. http://www.ridiculousupside.com/2010/3/15/1373456/alexander-johnson-nba-d-league has a great writeup on the guy. After reading it, it makes me wonder why he hasn't caught on anywhere before now.
  17. Cappy is coming back from his second TJ surgery. Guys almost never make it back from that. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/2007-07-18-tommy-john_N.htm
  18. Cappy won't be able to start, more than likely. He'd have to be a bullpen guy. If his elbow even holds up. Counting on him as depth at all is just silly. I can't imagine the Brewers cutting ties with a guy who had a low 4's ERA for a full seasons worth of starts between the idiotic Ned Yost platooning and when he got hurt last year
  19. National TV on St. Patty's day? WOOO!
  20. Pants. I'm ready for shorts weather.
  21. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1373 If you're authorizing the second computer that's what you want to do.
  22. That was Marquette's final four year. I seem to remember Gus Johnson calling that Badger game. I wish I could find a tape/clip of the CBS call.
  23. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=281004108\ How soon people forget the gem Bush pitched against the Phillies to win the only playoff game for the Brewers in the last 25 years.
  24. Okay, so, CTU has had like 47 moles in the last 8 years. Yet, someone with a made up identity still gets hired to run operations? AH!
  25. Ben Zorbrist. My definition of Superstar: If someone who calls themselves a baseball fan would know the guy if they saw a picture of him. I don't even think I could pick Zorbrist out of a lineup.
