  1. They just had two game 7's in the conference finals, with the road teams winning both games. Yep. Inherently boring and noncompetitive.
  2. They really can. I'm out volunteering this weekend, these kids (I'm almost 40, I can call 21 year olds kids, right?) are amazing athletes.
  3. College Ultimate (Frisbee) nationals is in Milwaukee this weekend. The games are being hosted at Uihlein soccer park, near 76th and Good Hope. 40 teams are in town (20 women's, 20 men's) and they are going to battle the heat this weekend. Monday is the finals, but there are games going on all weekend. If you've got nothing to do this weekend and want to come out and watch some amazing athletes doing awesome things... head on over. Ultiworld is streaming some games live: https://ultiworld.com/live/ So is USA Ultimate: https://www.youtube.com/user/usaultimate
  4. They can't sign and trade Jabari for a draft pick (this season) The signing moratorium doesn't end until 2 weeks after the draft.
  5. He doesn't even look like he's trying... that's the scary part.
  6. How are the Dodgers 10 games under .500? I mean.... wow.
  7. Yes, I’ll take that every time in that situation. An utterly terrible first two swings to not put the ball in play.
  8. The hate is he has a sub .300 obp and is on pace for 300+ PAs
  9. Sogard... he’s mastered the bat missing ball thing so we might as well finally take advantage of it... I could see him coming up with a secret "hair tonic"
  10. Peralta was already the 8th pitcher to start a game this season. Who will be the 9th?
  11. What happens when a child with a hyphenated last name grows up and marries another child with a hyphenated last name? Would their offspring have four last names? We must know each other somehow because I have been saying this for decades. There is a simple solution - don't get married. Or marry a cousin. No name change then!
  12. I would try contacting the Polish community center in Milwaukee. They might be able to help. http://www.polishcenterofwisconsin.org/
  13. College football has it right. No reason for mlb not to do it that way.
  14. After the Raptor hit that bomb: http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Andy-Dwyer-Shock.gif
  15. Every calculation of WAR accounts for unforced outs on the bases. They use the 24 base out states and calculate the average runs a player is worth in that situation and use that to deduct it from the base running calculation. https://www.fangraphs.com/library/offense/wsb/ https://www.fangraphs.com/library/offense/ubr/
  16. Based on what? He's at +6 DRS (3rd in MLB) already, +4 Rtz and a 17.7 UZR/150 (4th in MLB). He's been outstanding defensively.

  18. It shouldn't even be close who's the most "qualified." It's Blatt or Budenholzer...the former of which IMO is the most "qualified." The caveat emptor though is whether he learned from his time in Cleveland that he needs to actually have a relationship with his players. If not he'll just be Jason Kidd part 2 but a better basketball mind. Same problem with Fizdale and Gasol. Budenholzer fought with Schroder iirc as well. I prefer they go the way of someone that can mostly manage egos and have good relationships (while commanding respect) rather than an X's and O's guy. NBA players don't need X's and O's IMO. ....did you not just watch Boston destroy Milwaukee in a series where the Bucks had by far the two best players? That was all X's and O's.
  19. Why the Brewers are dead last at SS: 2018: Sogard as 2B (24 PA): .200/.304/.300 for a .604 OPS Sogard as SS (36 PA): .000/.111/.000 for a .111 OPS
