  1. As someone who follows the Brewers and the Mariners, the Brewers clearly have the better offense of the two teams. But the Mariners are way more 'clutch' for some unknown reason.
  2. .950 xBA on the first TT catch. .660 on the second one. Nice work.
  3. Rougned Odor is still in the big leagues? Who knew!
  4. Will be interesting to see how that new left field wall plays. No more short porch home runs for righties in Baltimore.
  5. The Cubs series was a classic Craig Counsell-era result. Thoroughly outplayed and outscored, deserved to be swept, yet somehow they manage to win a game and head out on a positive note.
  6. Goose Island is owned by AB InBev, right? That's no different than drinking a Budweiser.
  7. Cubs got us this time. 161-1 it is.
  8. Wish that ball would have grazed Wong's foot.
  9. Cain was sitting curveball the entire time, just missed that one.
  10. Not exactly a rocket from Yelich but it was enough.
  11. This is looking more like the Norris we are used to.
  12. By historical standards this is a pretty bad offense but in modern day MLB it's probably league average. Get runners on and hope that somebody eventually gets ahold of one. That's how it works these days.
  13. That does the trick. First run of 2022!
  14. The new guys haven't had enough time for the Brewers' mystery voodoo to ruin their swings.
  15. Yelich made about 300-some outs in his MVP season. It's going to get really exhausting if we hear about his struggles 300+ times this year.
  16. You're telling me the Cubs don't have a better SP than Hendricks? Yikes. Wong is 16 for 45 against Hendricks so I'll say he has a good day. I would love to see Yelich get on the board today.
  17. What a time to be a Brewers fan -- there's a decent chance we run away with the division again. I have a feeling the obnoxious Cardinals' farewell tour will be a thorn in our side at times and the Cubs will spend a decent chunk of the season over .500. But other than that it should be smooth sailing to another division title. NL Central Standings: Brewers 92 wins Cardinals 90 wins Cubs 78 wins Reds 68 wins Pirates 65 wins Brewers Categories Most Valuable Player: Adames Cy Young: Burnes Most Surprising Player: I'm on the Hiura bandwagon but I'll go with McCutchen putting up 2 WAR and winning us a couple games with clutch hits. Most Disappointing Player: Yelich. I was going to put Tellez here as well but I'll predict we trade him after Hiura starts raking. Under the Radar Player to Watch: I haven't heard much about Urías other than his injury -- I'll put him down for an .800+ OPS year. Rookie of the Year: Ashby
  18. I’ll predict that this technology causes time of game to drop by 5-10 minutes this year. The game will no longer slow to a halt when there is a runner on 2B.
  19. I honestly didn't know until yesterday that the NBA still had divisions.
  20. If this is a cover story (which I highly doubt), I'd say it's a pretty creative one. I'm assuming the Brewers will bring him back at the end of the suspension. Somewhat-relevant anecdote -- a few years ago I ran a race that had a randomized drug testing policy using the extremely long list of drugs prohibited by the world anti-doping agency. Good luck running your prescriptions/supplements against that list. I'm assuming that many of these minor league guys do the same thing that I did -- plug whatever they are taking into Google and figure out if it's likely to cause a positive test or not. If you do that for Clomid, you do get some results suggesting it could cause a positive test. So, yes, this is on Pedro for not doing his due diligence, which he has admitted and apologized for. That's life.
  21. Woodruff in the NLCS was the most exciting. I’ll nominate both of Jim Abbott’s two career hits that he notched with the Brewers in 1999. Both were RBI singles and both against the Cubs.
  22. The second championship is going to be easier than the first one. It won't take more than 6 games to dispatch anyone in the East. We already know they can beat Phoenix. It would be entertaining to play Memphis and Morant in the finals, but I suspect the Grizzlies are still a year away.
