  1. I mean that was a pretty epic backfiring, you can't have a managerial decision go more wrong than that.
  2. Trying to come up with a silver lining...Anderson looked vulnerable, some good ABs that inning. Pitching needs to put up more zeros.
  3. The sad thing is if we had the contact play on with Cain we probably would have gotten the run and kept Freddy in the game.
  4. Thank you Omar. Best AB of the series for the Brewers. By far.
  5. This is the most dead crowd I've ever seen for a closely contested postseason game.
  6. Just what this offense needed was JBJ starting game 4!
  7. The problem is more that they are swinging at unhittable pitches and just generally look lost up there. Swinging at ball 4 like Tellez just did is especially painful.
  8. I hate to pile on, but the fact that Avi Garcia is the second-best hitter on this team is a wee bit concerning.
  9. It appears even nationally televised postseason games can’t find a decent variety of advertisements to air. Guess it isn’t just an FSWI thing. The TBS stream via the app was so terrible that I switched over to a "third-party" site that uses an MLB.tv stream. Added bonus--no commercials!
  10. I still think Yelich should be batting leadoff. He has the 2nd-highest OBP in this lineup. He's feeling pressure to drive the ball. Let him excel at what he's good at lately which is drawing walks and hitting singles. Worry about the home runs again in March.
  11. Pitching is going to keep us in this series. We had plenty of ducks on the pond in the late innings in game 2.
  12. It's hard to get riled up for playoff baseball at 10 AM. I'm still drinking my morning coffee.
  13. If we win today, the worst case scenario is a game 5 at home with Burnes on the mound. Hoping we get to the Braves' bullpen by the 4th or 5th inning today.
  14. Meh…split is fine, Atlanta bullpen looks shaky. Pitching matches will remain in our favor. I’m not worried.
  15. Could the offense use upgrades? Yes. Would we be losing 3-0 today regardless? Yes.
  16. I know Fried is pitching well but we are swinging at some bad pitches. Making it easy for him.
  17. The Brewers are undefeated at home in the NLDS, right? And they’ve never lost game 1 of a playoff series in the Miller Park era.
  18. Current Yelich isn’t Chris Davis or Bellinger. He would slot as a leadoff hitter on most teams with his elite OBP + speed and base running skill set. Pitchers aren’t actively trying to pitch around him anymore…we need to recognize and appreciate that the new version of Yelich still has excellent plate discipline which is worth something.
  19. Did you watch the 9th? I’ll take that to mean the play didn’t look as scary as Ueck called it. But the pitch framing did look suspect when I was watching.
  20. Took care of business. I’m a little worried about Omar, he looked like he had the postseason jitters today. It didn’t cost us but it might have.
  21. This game seems to be playing out exactly as expected. Morton is no slouch but he's starting to show cracks. Brewers are good at scoring in late innings. Here we go.
