Hunter Pence looks to have a good lead on ROY with half the season gone. Don't forget about Troy Tulowitzki, Tim Lincecum, Chris Sampson and in some respects Mark Reynolds. They could all step up their game for the second half.
California Pizza Kitchen. If you like thin crust you will love any of their pizzas from BBQ chicken to Thai to Garlic Chicken. I don't know if you can get them in Wisconsin though.
That was disgusting...........disgustingly entertaining. I've never been so excited about competitive eating. The judges are saying that Chesnut ate 66 hotdogs. Wow!!
I'd agree with RyDogg on the Cordero first blown save game and Damian Miller should get a consideration for his game last night. Only the 3rd player this year with 7 RBIs in a game. Good post.
Kids have to learn some time. The first time I heard the F word was at a Packer game at County Stadium. My uncle took me and told me not to look at the man selling t-shirts on the sidewalk, so of course I looked. He was selling "(the word) the Bears!" t-shirts. After that I was familiar with the word and had a strong dislike for the Bears.
As per the mlb.com here are what some players said about participating in the HR derby this year if asked: Yes Prince Fielder Miguel Cabrera Matt Holliday Justin Morneau Maybe/No Comment Barry Bonds Ken Griffey Jr. Ryan Howard No David Wright Carlos Beltran Albert Pujols (small possibility) JJ Hardy David Ortiz Manny Ramirez Alex Rodriguez Torri Hunter
I thought that episode was way better than the first two. I was laughing out loud through much of it....."We decided to mix things up a bit." Anyone else notice that the Man U game that was supposed to be "in the final minutes" was actually only in the 17th minute.
Van Benschoten faced the Brewers back on August 31st of 2004 as a starter. He was facing Doug Davis who got pulled after 1 inning. Wise pitched 3.2 innings and hit a flyball to RF in his at bat. See the box score here.
Biggest snubs were probably Sheffield and Chris Young. Sheff could have something to do with the players not voting him in because of personality/BALCO. Chris Young is very deserving and could have been squeezed in instead of Fuentes All in all, the selections are good and you can't please everyone. My guess is that Chris Young and Roy Halladay (maybe Bonderman) will get the final vote. I will be voting for Young and Escobar.
I resigned from my last job after being told I was going to get fired. I'm not saying that Hargrove got fired, he probably didn't, but that doesn't mean he wasn't pressured into resigning. Doesn't it seem just a little fishy?
speculation is that it's ichiro! related. Maybe the Mariners will hold another press conference later today announcing that Ichiro! has just signed a multi-year contract extension. Obviously something is fishy. The Mariners are finally playing decent ball and Hargrove gets fired after a seventh straight win? I bet it's either Ichirio! related or something behind the scences.
