  1. Huge homerun in a huge spot for McGehee. You can't deny that.
  2. Save some relievers for the 8th inning, Brad Mills.
  3. Nice basehit by Green. Now get him out of there for a pinch runner.
  4. LaTroy Hawkins is warming up. I almost forgot that he was in our bullpen. I'd like to see RR use our "better" relievers and keep us in this game.
  5. Was that a botched hit and run by RR on that foul ball by Yuni, or was Morgan just trying to steal a base on his own? I missed it.
  6. I can't relate to this, because I've never been on a really competitive sports team before. Do you think the team would play worse if they substituted in slightly more qualified players at a few positions? Would the other players perform at a lower level if Yuni or McGehee were benched a few days out of the week? I'm asking for an honest opinion on this, because to me it doesn't make sense that Braun would hit fewer homeruns if the "cohesive" unit were broken up. RR seems to be doing a wonderful job with team chemistry so far, but it's hard to deny that certain positions on the field are underperforming while we have in house upgrades available.
  7. what happened? How does one even begin to answer this question?
  8. We should be due for a big offensive game, but 2 runs still seems like a big deficit.
  9. Westbrook is a righty, so that should make the Wolf-Kottaras haters happier. I don't care how we do it, let's just win tonight.
  10. Bottom of the 9th inning with 0 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd, down by 1 run. Bunting is a great idea, but Yuni is a terrible bunter.
  11. There were a lot of opportunities in this game and the Brewers took advantage of none of them.
  12. Phew! Am I crazy or could this whole mess have been avoided if Yuni had just a little bit of range to get to the Molina hit?
  13. Yuni is a really frustrating player to watch. Can RR start JHJ at shortstop tomorrow, please??
  14. Jed Bradley sounds like a pretty smart guy, if that's worth anything.
  15. Normally I would say that home/road splits don't matter and that you should pitch your best pitcher first, but Greinke is a special case. He has a history of anxiety and his numbers clearly reflect an advantage pitching at home. Greinke has a K/BB at home for his career of 4.13 compared to 2.95 on the road and his ERA is 3.47 at home and 4.26 on the road. With no clear #1 pitcher on this team, it makes sense to give Greinke home starts when possible. It helps that it will likely line up that he pitches at home anyway, for the first series at least (wood being knocked). On the surface Gallardo's numbers look better at home, but his peripherals suggest that he is not that much better at home than his ERA splits suggest. As long as Gallardo, Marcum and Greinke are the first 3 pitchers in the series, I don't really care how they line up, but it would seem to be beneficial to give Greinke the home starts if possible.
  16. In defense of Morgan's bunt, he beats those out fairly often. Does anybody actually know how often he does?According to baseball reference, he has 25 PA considered bunts this year. 7 have gone for hits. This doesn't take into account plate appearances where he showed bunt and the outcome was something other than a ball into play with the trajectory of a bunt.
  17. I can't wait to watch this game in beeeautiful high definition on TBS. Here's hoping for a little Greinke panky and maybe a PH from "Tyler" Green.
