  1. The Rockies rebroadcast that play at least 10 times, and Corey looked out in about 8 of them, but I'll take it. Leads are nice.
  2. I always feel like a 4 run deficit is 1 run away from being a close game, but a 5 run deficit has me flipping the channel.
  3. Prince needs a lot of help to make it to the finals.
  4. Can I at least make it through dinner and a beer before I have to turn the game off?
  5. I think Upton would have made a good pick, since he hits the ball far and hard, plus he was lobbying to do it. If the All-Star game was in Milwaukee and Upton was the captain, wouldn't you be slightly upset if he didn't pick Fielder?
  6. Justin Upton He has 4 of the top 15 longest home runs this year, plus he would be the home town hitter. He seems like a no brainer to me. I'd be surprised if he wasn't invited. In addition, I'd add Howard and Kemp.
  7. So the Brewers should cross their fingers and hope for defensive mistakes? No one was arguing that the way the play ended up was a bad thing for the Brewers.
  8. I guess it's not a surprise to see RR suicide squeeze with McGehee on 3rd in the 3rd inning. Frustrating, even when it happens to work, by way of bad defense.
  9. He's not in it. For the NL it's Ethier, Helton, Kennedy, Morse, Victorino. LINK
  10. Is this a precursor to a permanent change in the positioning/order? Personally, I think the lineup is much better like it was yesterday with Gamel at 1B, Counsell at 3B and Fielder DHing.
  11. That's not the first time Braddock has been called for licking his hand.
  12. This team is sooo much better when the bottom 5 spots in the order get hits.
  13. Why do I have to watch 2 Nair commercials in between every half inning with mlb.TV? I think they are seriously confused as to who their target audience is.
  14. Imo, the main thing that could keep the Brewers out of the postseason is the lack of positional depth beyond Weeks, Hart, Braun, Fielder, & Lucroy. Here is the Brewers batting order and OPS per spot: 1 - .862 2 - .711 3 - .920 4 - 1.037 5 - .593 6 - .622 7 - .613 8 - .749 9 - .487 The thing that stands out most to me is the terrible support that Prince is getting from the #5 hitter. It's been clear all season long that pitchers are being careful with Prince. Gardenhire decided to intentially walk Prince last night to load the bases in order to face McGehee rather than at least pretend to pitch to Prince. Corey needs to hit behind Prince everyday imo. Also, Weeks might be better served hitting later in the lineup for the sake of RBIs, but then you lose the OBP in front of Braun and Prince. A switch of Morgan and Weeks might be good though. Maybe: Morgan Weeks Braun Fielder Hart McGehee Lucroy SS P
  15. This is Melvin's worst signing yet. That guy looks completely out of shape.
  16. Are the books as good as the series? I usually stay away from this genre, but the series has me hooked and I want to know what happens next.
  17. You were way off chickinbrickin. The 5,6,7,8 and 9 hitters had 3 hits tonight, going 3 for 20 with 0 BBs.
  18. Youk and Crawford are now both out with injuries.
  19. Oh, I definitely have faith. I've never been one of those to say "it's over" in the first inning. My comment was just reflecting the additional runs and high pitch count in the 2nd inning. I did preface it by saying "so far." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gifI wasn't calling you out personally. There were about 6 comments in a row acting like the game was over. There just seems to be a lot of negativity in the IGT lately. Sometimes it's hard to root for a winning team.
  20. C'mon. We're only down 2 with 7 innings yet to play. Have a little faith.
  21. It's nice to see Casey getting a hit. I haven't lost faith in him yet.
  22. This is exciting. The schedule is brutal, but there is nothing we can do about it, so it's nice to see how we match against these top AL East teams.
