  1. Between the mustache and the fastball, Axford appears to have brought his A game tonight.
  2. You did a beautiful job with that analogy summing up how I feel right now. Bad managing? eh. Bloop single to lose the lead? whatever.
  3. For all of the criticism that Doug Melvin has been getting, you can't deny that McGehee has been huge for the Brewers. And Jody Gerut strikes out.
  4. Anyone play Red Dead Redemption yet? I just ordered it off of amazon.com, which comes with a $20 coupon. It's supposed to be GTA in the wild west.
  5. Has anyone seen this site. It's a reverse image search where you can post an image and it will search for a match online. It didn't work for this particular image, but it worked for Google Won't Save You #113 - Derek Riggs. Try it out. I have no idea who this is. Is it equipment related?
  6. One adage from Billy Beane that I always liked was that he believes you should either be winning or rebuilding. There is no benefit in fielding a mediocre team. While it's still early, if this team doesn't start stringing together some wins it's time to consider building for the future. (I still have some hope!)
  7. Just got home, see Johnny Gomes hit a 3-run homerun. Ouch.
  8. When you are the worst starting pitching staff in the league, it's harder to get much worse. Might as well give Parra a shot and see if he sticks.
  9. That's why you don't want Escobar in the 2 spot. At least we leadoff with Braun and Fielder next inning.
  10. 6 innings of 3 run ball against the Phillies from Dave Bush, who wasn't even supposed to start today, is pretty good.
  11. That was 1 pitch away from being a nice 4 pitch inning after Utley and Howard were retired.
  12. Hoover is a great name for a catcher, but if he starts to play bad the insults will be way to easy.
  13. This is going to be another high scoring game. And I agree, we need Hart or even Gerut in the 2 hole, not Escobar. Get well soon DD!
  14. This team is second in baseball in scoring runs, behind only the Yankees. To bad our pitching is so horrible.
  15. Maybe this has been posted, but here is Zack Greinke's quote on the Yost hiring "I'm guessing he was the manager of the Rockies, but I guess it could have been the Brewers because he looks like he would be a manager of the Brewers. So that's how much I know about him." I find it really funny that anyone could look like a Brewer manager.
  16. Detroit would be the closest major league option with only a 4 hour drive plus customs, but even that is unreasonable for most fans in Toronto.
  17. I say that if we must keep the ball and glove logo on home Fridays change it to the current colors. I think most of us can agree that the old yellow and blue just looks a bit dated. I also know that a few of the current players have been quoted as preferring the modern logo to the ball and glove despite the majority of fans apparently liking the ball and glove. This team has made enough of a name for themselves to get away from the old uniforms. I'm a bit of a minimalists and thought it would be cool to see just the wheat on the hat and no "M" at all.
  18. We are going to lose this game because of bad baserunning and defense.
  19. This guy is great!! I still can't stop laughing. He reminds me of a Christopher Guest type character. Skip to the 5:36 mark in that video to watch the actual interview segment.
  20. That's not right.
  21. I think we need to add the Big Hurt to that list. I have a lot of respect for both of them as they were putting up great numbers and didn't juice. Can we rephrase this to players who were never caught juicing? I love Griffey to death, but I can't excuse anyone from the steroid era, especially someone who hit 56 HRs in 1998. I'm not accusing Griffey of anything, he is just a product of the era and no one can say 100% he didn't juice. He's an easy first ballot in my eyes.
