  1. Brian Anderson, "My goodness, what happened to this game."
  2. Lucky break for the Crew there, Cameron was out.
  3. It's good to see Weeks and Hall hot for a stretch here.
  4. He pitched a CG in that 18K game against the Braves back in '01, right?
  5. Well with Clint Hurdle yet to decide on an NL All-Star starter, maybe Sheets is putting a little show for him. That always looks good on the resume during a contract year.
  6. What are the number of different injuries? Yesterday during the Brewers broadcast BA repeated a couple times that Rich Harden has had 6 different injuries in his 6 years in the majors. That's more than Sheets, but I don't know how accurate it is, but it's a contest I wouldn't want to win. I personally think that Morrisey simply miss typed that sentence. Blame it on poor editing. Or maybe he was looking at this list.
  7. Those last two runs are huge. And nice baserunning by Hart there, to distract the cutoff man from throwing home where Prince would have been out by a mile.
  8. Nice strikeout of Hawpe there. This HP umpire has had a tight strike zone for both teams, but CC is just missing with his pitches.
  9. Sabathia has got to be about done here.
  10. That run shouldn't be. Weeks had the out at second.
  11. You could put together a valid argument that Harden is a better picther than Sabathia when healthy, but you can't do much to help you or your team if you're not healthy. You can't predict when/if a pitcher will get injured, but here is the average IP of Harden/Sheets/Sabathia since Harden put in his first "whole" season in 2004. Harden 97 IP Sheets 160 IP Sabathia 207 IP
  12. Harden has a pretty agressive delivery and I think all three of his major injuries have been related to his delivery or follow through. His injury last year was a UCL sprain, which involved the ligament involved in Tommy John surgery. Link to injury history. It's pretty feasible that he'll be out before the season ends. These don't seem like freak vestibular neuritis type injuries.
  13. I think once Glendon Rusch gets mentioned in a thread it's automatic grounds for a lock. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  14. Joe Morgan just stated that he thinks this trade is not worth the risk with the Brewers losing LaPorta and not being able to sign Sabbathia. For what it's worth.
  15. So what's the deal with Anthony Castrovince article on Indians.com? First he says that the deal is done and now he is confirming that Shapiro says the deal is not yet done? I'm sure this trade is done, if not very, very close, but some solid confirmation from either DM or MS would be nice.
  16. Wow, I really never thought this would go down. I really didn't. Way to prove me wrong. I'm on a major Brewer high right now.
  17. This is a pretty famous shot and I think remember seeing it in Brewer programs as an advertisment (Coca-Cola or Miller?) several years after the no-no. I can't personally provide you with this picture, but would recommend trying old programs if you can't find the newspaper that you're looking for.
  18. Whatever's wrong with JJ Hardy, don't fix it.
  19. Yeah, he was pretty out on that play. Sorry Rickie.
  20. Congratiulations to Ben Sheets on also making the All-Star team!
  21. That was a terrible time to steal.
