  1. Yeah I bet we went after Scherzer until he told the Nationals to send him out West.
  2. I don't think Stearns believes in trading high-end prospects for big name pitchers. Hasn't done it yet in 6 years so I'm not surprised we didn't go that route. I'm fairly happy with how things turned out.
  3. 13 of our final 59 games are against the Cubs and Pirates so there's that to look forward to!
  4. Don't know anything about Curtiss but this seems like a really good trade.
  5. I never like playing Atlanta. Seems like we usually struggle against these guys. Helps that we have Burnes and Woody going though and no Acuna either.
  6. Yeah I agree. Our offense is set. I don't see a big trade there. Adames, Tellez and Escobar were all pretty much our "trade deadline" deals. They were just spread out over the course of two months or so. In the small chance we do make a blockbuster deal, it will be for a starting pitcher like Berrios.
  7. How is it that these big market teams can just acquire whoever they want with whatever crappy prospects they have? Did the Yankees even include a top 10 organizational prospect for Gallo or Rizzo? They don’t even have that great of a farm system. This just irks me.
  8. I would be absolutely shocked if we don’t at least trade for a bullpen arm.
  9. Your move Stearns. Yeah that’s not how Stearns works and we should know that by now.
  10. The Padres and Dodgers have so much money and such deep farm systems that they can just go out and acquire whoever they want. Must be nice.
  11. I think we get a starting pitcher and a reliever. Berrios or Scherzer would obviously be incredible but a Jon Gray is probably more likely. I'll say Gray and Daniel Hudson.
  12. Twins are supposedly shopping Jose Berrios. He has a year left of control beyond this season. What are we thinking it would take to acquire him? Would Mitchell, one of Small/Ashby, Feliciano, and Eduardo Garcia get it done? Too much? Too little?
  13. Couldn't agree more but unfortunately he has a no trade clause and the Brewers are reportedly not on his list of preferred teams.
  14. Was thinking the same thing. Hopefully they don’t have too many games against the Reds the rest of the way.
  15. That has to spell the end for Shaw I would imagine.
  16. Nats with 12 positive COVID tests so it's kind of a miracle the Brewers didn't end up with more than just Yelich.
  17. If this was from anybody else but Bowden, I might be intrigued.
  18. Nothing ever leaks out of Brewers camp. If the Brewers make a big splash, it’ll come out of nowhere and we’ll most likely all be shocked.
  19. It’s really a shame the Braves aren’t further back in the East as I believe they’ll still go for it and won’t sell. Freeman would be a dream scenario for us.
  20. Couldn't agree more. Would not be excited at all if we acquired Story.
  21. Unless you can get an absolute game changer like Jose Ramirez, I don’t see the point in trading for a bat. At this point, I like where our offense is at and that includes the corner infield spots. Just go get some pitching and call it good.
  22. Maybe the Pirates should have started Ponce. He actually looks halfway decent.
