  1. It'll probably be with a different team, unfortunately.
  2. Macha said that he wouldn't give Gamel a start until McGehee reaches 100 rbi's. He needs 8 more for that to happen. The countdown is on!
  3. This is extremely exciting. The best part is that they are all cheap and Brewers' property for years to come. I'm excited for the second wave of pitchers to come next year as well (Rivas, Scarpetta, Peralta, Heckathorn, etc.).
  4. Really BrewCrew? Where did you hear that? Great news that they're going to give him a start.
  5. Rogers throwing the heat. Nice debut for him.
  6. I won't get excited about this unless Rogers gets a couple of starts. Go with a 6-man rotation if you have to. Please.
  7. Was hoping for Rivas and/or Rogers, but that was probably a pipe dream to begin with.
  8. Not everybody has rookie seasons like Ryan Braun. These guys are doing just fine. It's better than having Edmonds or Kottaras out there playing everyday.
  9. Well, considering Gamel struck out looking last night, it might be another week before he gets another AB. Jeffress pitching is much more likely to happen I would imagine.
  10. So you want Braddock, Lucroy, and Cain all in AAA right now? For rookies, they've all had fairly good seasons. What am I missing here?
  11. Joe Inglett and Carlos Gomez are getting pinch-hit AB's over Gamel. That tells you all you need to know about how much playing time Gamel is going to get.
  12. Development time to become a starting pitcher again I would imagine.
  13. How in the world can I watch a replay of Jeffress' outing? I wasn't able to watch the game last night. It sounds like he looked good though.
  14. This is probably pretty sad, but I'd actually be happy if Gamel got around 30 AB's. I was figuring he'd get around 10 pinch-hit appearances and two or three starts, which would be around 20 AB's.
  15. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see Gamel back in the majors. But there is absolutely nowhere for him to play. Maybe he plays some RF to give Corey some rest since he's been a little banged up lately. Awesome to see Jeffress in the majors as well.
  16. I'd be very happy if it was Gamel, Jeffress, and Villanueva. Maybe Rivas gets called up after Huntsville's season is done and gets a spot start or something.
  17. "Hey Lorenzo, you won the game for us last night, now have a seat on the bench."
  18. Yeah, McGehee isn't going anywhere and will be the starting 3b next year unless he's traded. If he's not traded, then it's Prince who will need to go if Gamel has any kind of future with the Brewers.
  19. He's basically saying, "Cain is good, but I'm better than him." Just something that he should probably have kept to himself.
  20. Odorizzi's SO:BB ratio (130:37) is even more ridiculous than Gallardo's (110:51) when Yo was at class A West Virginia.
  21. Interesting comments from Gomez before the game today. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/101442689.html
  22. Yeah, I definitely think that line-up can compete next year, even if you take out Prince and add in Gamel. We basically have to replace three SP though. Parra, Narveson, and Bush all need to be replaced in the offseason if we want to even think about competing.
