Three players with big league experience? I would imagine two of them are Escobar and Cain. The third is probably a pitcher like Braddock, Jeffress, or Rogers.

Hello 2011 World Series says the Phillies. Wow.
  3. wibadgers23
Yeah, Oswalt as your 4th starter? That would be insanity.

New article up on ESPN that basically says Toronto and Washington are after Greinke and that we probably don't have the talent in our system to acquire him. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5915164

KC would be absolutely ridiculous to turn down that kind of an offer. I mean, if that is seriously what KC is asking for, then forget it.
  6. wibadgers23
Good. Now let's focus on trading for Garza instead.

Isn't the Cubs farm system pretty crappy right now? What prospects might they send over to TB?
  8. wibadgers23
Probably Odorizzi and another pretty good prospect to go along with Lo Cain?
  9. wibadgers23
Yo/Garza/Marcum/Wolf would be awesome. Get it done Melvin.

Just out of curiosity, how does Beachy compare to Mike Minor? I've always been intrigued with Minor.
  11. wibadgers23
Yeah, Beachy had some pretty sick numbers last year at AA and AAA. It would probably take Cain plus a pitcher to get him.
  12. wibadgers23
That would be one of the worst trades in Brewers history. If Melvin makes that trade, he should be fired on the spot and sent back to Canada for good.
  13. wibadgers23
I'm just relieved we didn't have to give up a Rogers or Odorizzi on top of Lawrie.

Cruz can pretty much kiss his days as a Brewer goodbye. I actually thought he got a pretty good amount of playing time considering he was a September call-up and was playing behind Escobar and Counsell.

Believe it or not, Gamel was removed for defensive purposes.
  16. wibadgers23
Hopefully he gets that RBI tonight and gets it out of the way. But like you said, even when he does get it, I'm sure Macha will find another excuse not to play Gamel.
  17. wibadgers23
Only three more RBI's until Gamel can get some playing time (maybe)!
  18. wibadgers23
It's really not that big of a deal, but I find it incredibly annoying that Macha won't give Luis Cruz a start at SS tonight because he wants to put his "best foot forward" against teams in the playoff race (according to TH). Last time I checked, Cincinnati's lead was 8 games with about two weeks left. Macha truly is an amazing guy.

So is Rogers starting Thursday or Friday? Melvin said twice during tonight's broadcast that he's starting on Thursday and BA also mentioned that he was starting on Thursday.
  20. wibadgers23
Please leave then. I didn't ask for your opinion about my grammar.

If Ryan Braun is on fire right now, then what is Troy Tulowitzki? His month of September so far has to be up there with some of the greatest months offensively in history. As of right now, he has 14 homeruns, 33 rbi's, and is hitting around .365 in September. And there's still nearly two weeks left until the end of the month! Looks like Colorado might do it again.

And of course I have to work that night. Hopefully they'll replay the game later that night.
  23. wibadgers23
Yeah, I think you're right pitchleague. It's kind of like NBA League Pass. You can watch the games right on your computer. It's something like $50.
  24. wibadgers23
I can't even imagine the amount of work that is put into the link reports. Thanks for all your hard work. Awesome job this year guys.
