    Wow, Nashville really poured it on late. Gamel ends up with 3 hits and 4 rbi's and now has his BA up to .300.

    Actually just one game. The deadline is at 3pm CDT on Saturday. So I guess something would have to happen early Saturday.

    Yeah, it's almost getting to the point where they might have to call up Cain. Talk about the worst timing for an injury. I can't see Hart getting traded at this point.

    The highest I've seen for Odirizzi is 94 (maybe 95). I think Rivas has been clocked at 90, 91. That's all I know. Wish I could make more minor league games!

    I'm also not surprised one bit by their logic. We saw it last year and we're seeing it again this year.

    Wow, has it been quiet or what with the Brewers? Haven't heard any rumors surrounding Prince or anybody for that matter in a few days. Anything could happen, but it looks like we won't be very active at all.

    Just got home from the game tonight and it was a great win. Gomez looked absolutely lost at the plate though. Cain should be in there at least platooning with Gomez. And what more can you say about Edmonds? He just keeps at it.

    Obviously I want the Brewers to win every game that they play, but my biggest fear is that they get on a roll playing against these bad teams only to start losing again when the schedule gets ugly starting in mid-August. Meanwhile, Melvin gets all excited and decides not to make any trades because he thinks we're still in it. Who knows though, he might not make any trades even if we get swept by the Reds.

    Another ho-hum outing for Odorizzi. He's just making it look easy right now.

    At this point, I'd be shocked if he was traded. Just my personal feeling though. If we were to sweep the Reds and get to within 3 games of .500, then I'd be really, really shocked if there was a trade.

    Tim Kurkjian was on Baseball Tonight last night and said that the Tigers and White Sox are interested in Prince and that there is a 3rd mystery team interested as well. Wonder who the mystery team is?

    This is only the second series since the All-Star break, so it's not like the guys aren't rested. Kinda wierd.

    Nope, it'll be Jim Edmonds getting most of the starts because we have to see what the youngster can do.

    So would anybody do the deal without Beckham being involved? What would it take? Hudson, Viciedo, and who?

    I have chronic achilles tendinitis and I don't know how in the world 40-year-old Edmonds can play baseball with that going on. Extremely, extremely painful condition.

    Good. I'd rather him play everyday in Nashville rather than ride the bench in Milwaukee.

    The Cardinals are heating up and we're now 10.5 games behind them. I don't know if we're going to start selling, but it's obviously going to take an absolute miracle to catch them or the Reds.

    Is it just me, or does Fielder and Bush for Beckham and Hudson make a lot of sense for both teams? Seems like if that offer is ever on the table, both GM's should be wanting to pull the trigger.

    Can we play the Pirates every game please? That team is just awful. Too bad we haven't been gaining any ground on the Reds or Cardinals since the all-star break though.
