I was thinking the same thing. Kinda interesting. -
Was hoping to watch Lucroy play tonight since I didn't get to watch any of the three games he started in a row. It's gonna be a late night. Hopefully I can stay awake.
-
1. Attempt to trade Prince, Hart, and Weeks for some pitching prospects. 2. Call up Lorenzo Cain and Amaury Rivas. 3. Play Lucroy everyday. 4. Fire Macha.
-
That's what bothers me most Mass. You mention we haven't had any breakouts. I agree. We haven't had one player really dominate yet. You could make an argument for Odorizzi I guess. It's been a very disappointing season all around so far.
-
Lots of big nights for the prospects. Lawrie, Gamel, Cain, Schafer, etc. Hopefully it's only a matter of time before Cain goes to Nashville and Schafer to Huntsville.
-
Nice throw there by Lucroy. Should have been handled by Rickie.
-
I thought Jeffress wasn't supposed to start pitching until Sunday.
-
Kottaras has been terrible behind the plate. Sure would like to see Lucroy play. Just a little bit maybe.
-
Yep, and that will pretty much be the story of this entire season.

Do Pirates fans finally have something to look forward to? They already called up Andrew McCutchen last year. They called up pitching prospect Brad Lincoln a few days ago and will make his debut tonight. They called up 21 year-old Jose Tabata today and Pedro Alvarez, who is a beast right now in AAA, is not far behind. So what does everybody think about this group of prospects for the Pirates?

BC is just not fun to follow this year. Salome with a homerun though.

Can anybody list the best players still available going into round 2? Thanks. -
I'm excited about this pick. Get the kid signed and get him to Helena.

General Draft Discussion

Anybody know what time the draft starts tomorrow? -
Looks like 6pm CST.

I'm not surprised. Just needed to vent.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Anybody else starting to get furious about the lack of playing time for Lucroy? Tonight would be a perfect game to start Lucroy against the lefty, but Kottaras is starting again. It's unbelievable that this is happening two years in a row.
-
Remember last year? Yeah, I don't think they're going to be playing the young players any time soon.
-
Lucroy is officialy riding the bench at this point. Time to send him back down to Nashville to play everyday.

Parra Replaces Bush in Rotation Sunday; Bush "not pleased"
wibadgers23 replied to Funketown's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Bush is not a happy camper. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/95552134.html -
Nope, Stern cleared waivers and was outrighted to Nashville.
-
Counsell and Lucroy in the line-up tonight. 2B Rickie Weeks 3B Craig Counsell LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart CF Carlos Gomez SS Alcides Escobar C Jonathan Lucroy LHP Chris Capuano
-
Yeah, from everything we've heard about Schafer's injury, it just doesn't seem like he's close to coming back. Cain should be in Nashville now. He obviously has nothing left to prove in AA.
-
Salome is not in the starting line-up tonight.
-
LouisEly, I'm right there with you. I was actually going to start a thread stating my frustration with how the season has gone so far. The injuries have been overwhelming and the sub-par performances from some of our top prospects have been demoralizing (there's that word again!). For the positives, Lo Cain and Odorizzi have been excellent so far and guys like Heckathorn, Rivas, and Lawrie have been solid.
