  1. Or traded Escobar, Gamel, Lawrie, and Lucroy for one year of Halladay.
  2. Hopefully UW-Eau Claire is next to get cancelled. Eau Claire hasn't gotten as much snow as Madison though.
  3. Looks like Jackson might be going to the Dbacks in a three-team deal: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4725108
  4. Sweet. I live in Eau Claire and have to watch the T-wolves. Why that is I'll never know (thank goodness I get the Brewers at least).
  5. Not a huge surprise, but Halladay won't re-sign with the Jays after 2010. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4677979
  6. The next couple weeks should be pretty interesting. At San Antonio, at New Orleans, at Oklahoma City, Orlando, Chicago, etc.
  7. Lucroy is actually known for being very patient at the plate (had more walks than SO's in '09). He was probably just a bit anxious with the bases load.
  8. Never mind, I guess it's free. Cain not starting, but Lucroy is.
  9. How can I watch this game if I don't have mlb network? Is there an option where I can pay a one-time fee and watch it online?
  10. A couple of surprises for me - Salome not in the top 10, Odorizzi at #9 and Davis at #6. I didn't think those two would make the list, but I am really high on Odorizzi and am excited to see him pitch in Appleton next year.
  11. Lucroy with another CS. His CS% has to be through the roof right now. It seems like he's been throwing out one or two baserunners per game lately with virtually no SB against.
  12. As a Mavericks fan, I can tell you that I will not be shocked if Milwaukee wins this game. Dallas always seems to have trouble in Milwaukee plus they just played last night and they are not a young team anymore. Jennings will be running circles around Barea or Kidd or whoever guards him. The only chance the Mavs have of containing Jennings is if they put the rookie Beaubois on him. He's really fast too, but still raw defensively. Should be a good game.
  13. Not really a Bucks fan, but I enjoy following them. What do you guys think they should do with Redd? Should they trade him this year and what kind of a return would he net?
  14. Could somebody please explain how the non-tender process works?
  15. Ugh, Rogers needs to leave Arizona and never come back.
  16. You guys don't think the Nets are more pathetic than the Knicks? Other than Harris (who can't seem to stay healthy) and Brook Lopez, that team has nobody. Anyway, I'm just glad we have a couple of young, exciting players in Jennings and Bogut.
  17. Ditto. Let Salome start full time in Nashville.
  18. Lucroy with two hits including a double and 2 rbi's.
  19. Yep, and that is what's wrong with baseball. The Yankees get three of the most prized free agents last year and will probably sign the most prized free agent pitcher this year. Absolutely ludicrous.
  20. Now that Gomez is on board, things get a little more interesting with the batting order. What is everybody thinking? As of now, I'll go with: 1. Weeks 2b 2. Escobar SS 3. Braun LF 4. Prince 1b 5. McGehee 3b 6. Hart RF 7. Gomez CF 8. Catcher (whoever that might be)
  21. Not that we were extremely old or anything, but you subtract Kendall, Cameron, and Hardy and add Gomez, Lucroy, and Escobar to the everday line-up and we are suddenly a very young team. That being said, I would still be somewhat shocked if Lucroy (or Salome) is our starting catcher to begin the season.
  22. Unbelievable that Suppan is at the top of that list ahead of Fielder, Braun, etc. Ugh.
  23. Yeah, I'm just going to wait and see what happens over the next three months. If Melvin doesn't get any pitching, then this trade will have made absolutely no sense.
