    I'm guessing (and really hoping too) that they will go all out against the Mets and then start resting people this weekend. I just don't see the Cubs relaxing too much this week and risk coming out rusty in the playoffs.

    So what warrants the one game playoff in baseball? Just a tie between two teams? I know in basketball and other sports, they use tiebreakers such as head-to-head to determine playoff scenarios. In other words, if the Mets and Brewers end up with the same record at the end of the year, is there automatically a one game playoff or are there other factors involved? Excuse my ignorance, but I've never had to worry about this stuff before.

    I can't believe I'm going to be cheering loudly for the Cubs this week. But whatever gets the Brewers into the playoffs, I don't care. Pitching matchups seem to favor the Cubs too.

    Trade Suppan to the Royals for a bag of balls. Seriously, he is downright awful and has been since he got here.

    If we manage to win the next two games against Cinci and the Mets or Phillies lose at least one of their next two this weekend, I expect the atmosphere to be very exciting with the usual booing if something goes wrong. If we lose one more this weekend or both, I expect things to get very ugly next week with the crowd booing at any little thing that goes wrong. Corey Hart will probably get a smattering of boos too.

    I would like to see a line-up like that too, but you know we won't until we are officialy eliminated.

    I'm beginning to wonder the same thing about our young guys. Where are they? Why not put them in when your down 11-2 in the 8th? Apparently it has to be a 46-3 game before they get a chance. And as I type this, Escobar gets put in.

    Hey guys, I won't be doing the IGT's anymore this season. Maybe somebody else can provide some IGT magic that will propel the Crew into the playoffs. Or maybe woogie will come back for a late season run.
