  1. I saw that as well; the forecaster was quick to point out that a storm this far out can change a lot; but at this point they were showing 6-12 in southern WI with a chance for more.
  2. Frankly the Bucks are where they are because 3 consecutive awful draft years from 2006-2008. Luc Richard is the only competent player drafted in those 3 years. Considering where they were drafting Sanders and Jennings were pretty good picks; Henson & Harris are still TBD but probably not looking very good at this point. They have a better history in the 2nd round than they have with there 1st round picks. Luc Richard, Sessions, Ersan were all really good picks and I think Lamb will end up being pretty solid.
  3. You would think that Bo would give Marshall a shot towards the end of the game considering how awful Jackson was playing. Jackson is shooting far below 40% for the year and his Assist to Turnover ratio sucks. This team desperately needs Gasser back next year. Oh and the seniors continue to suck up the joint. The team is probably still over achieving though; they have mediocre PG at best and can't make FT and yet they are still near the Top of the B10.
  4. I highly doubt Ellis is going to exercise that option next year; I think he is good as gone. But you probably wouldn't get squat for him either so you might as well just stick it out and hope for a lucky run in the playoffs. If someone else wants to give Brandon Jennings a max deal this offseason then I think Hammond has to just let him go. Jennings isn't a star worthy of that kind of deal. The team might struggle having to replace both Jennings and Ellis; but it would probably be worth it in the long run
  5. I wonder if the 4 game losing streak is going to affect the way Hammond handles the upcoming trade deadline. Right now they are the #8 seed; if that is all you can hope for you might as well just trade some guys because being the #8 seed is basically a death wish. Bucks have plenty of trading chips if they want to go that route; but I have a sneaky suspicion that it is going to be status quo. They are going to hope that they go on a run so the can get a 6/7 and play New York/Indiana/Chicago in the 1st round and maybe luck into a series win It really doesn't pay to try to tank anymore; there are some truly awful teams that MIL has no chance of catching. They are either a low level lottery team or a fringe playoff team at this point; might as well just go for the playoffs.
  6. UW is up to about a 5-6 seed right now. Amazingly they have the potential to be a Top 4 when it is all said and done. Definitely not something I ever would have guessed after they couldn't beat anybody good in the non conference schedule. That Virginia loss is still going to bite them come seeding time. If UW somehow can win in Minnesota and beat OSU at home this week; then there title chances suddenly look really good on paper. 4 out of there last 5 are against really weak teams; the schedules for MSU, Michigan, and Indiana are a lot tougher. MSU and Michigan still have to play each other twice; Indiana still has games at MSU, Michigan, and Minnesota.
  7. There is nothing worse than an organist at church that feels the need to make the intro to a song longer than an entire verse. Drives my crazy; church isn't the place to be showing off your mad skills.
  8. I agree; Kentucky was far and away the best team last year. In 2012-2013 every top team has a weakness and no one has just manhandled the competition. Right now I would probably pick Michigan, Syracuse, Miami(FL), and Duke if Kelly ever gets healthy as my favorites. If I had to pick a National Champ right now I would take Michigan. There could be a 5 way tie atop the B10 standing after this weekend; that would be pretty crazy. Beating Michigan at home might be enough to get UW a 6 seed or better given the easier schedule they have coming up.
  9. I usually get a decent sized refund every year. I have my W-4 set up as married joint with 1 dependent which is my actual case. My wife doesn't work; I am not sure exactly how I am supposed to configure my W-4 so that I am paying in exactly what we owe, just claim more dependents even though I don't have any more to claim?. I am perfectly fine getting that tax refund every year because I like the trade off of knowing that money will be there for home improvements vs. getting less than $100 in interest income and possibly spending it on crap over the course of the year.
  10. I thought one guy said he did order stuff from Boesch but that it was a completely legal supplement? Cervelli perhaps?
  11. Looks like FDL is going to get another 5-6 inches tomorrow. I am really getting sick of this snow every other day routine.
  12. Braun would have to give his lawyers permission to release anything; hopefully he does that. That being said he was in no rush to release anything last winter and I am a little skeptical that they are going to release anything now. Braun is basically asking everyone to take him at his world. His explanation is certainly plausible and could easily be proven if true. Not only would Braun's team have some sort of documentation; but I have to imagine so would the lab. There is no way that the labs only documentation that they consulted for Braun would be some written ledger. In all likelihood the Fed probably has something; but they sure as hell aren't going to release anything. Hell maybe the paper even has something that they have no disclosed to this point. If any money changed hands then there would be a paper trail, the FBI sure as hell will find it; the question is will anyone else
  13. From TH: "David Cornwell, the lead attorney for the defense team that successfully appealed the positive drug test of Brewers leftfielder Ryan Braun last winter, issued a statement Tuesday night saying that Anthony Bosch's contributions were "negligible." After Braun's name surfaced on the logs of the Miami anti-aging clinic linked to supplying baseball players with performance-enhanching drugs, Braun issued a statement saying his attorneys merely used Bosch, the clinic's operator, as a consultant in their defense planning for the arbitration hearing. But Cornwell downplayed any contributions that Bosch made to that defense strategy, which ultimately overturned the positive test on a chain-of-custody dispute. "In the 15 years that I have represented players facing discipline under the various professional sports leagues' substance abuse and steroid programs, I have relied primarily, if not exclusively, on Dr. David L. Black and his team of scientists at Aegis Sciences Corporation in Nashville, TN as my experts with respect to scientific and other matters relevant to the testing of player specimens," Cornwell's statement said. "I was not familiar with Tony Bosch prior to Ryan Braun's case. Bosch was introduced to me at the earliest stage of Ryan's case. "I found Bosch's value to be negligible and I followed my prior practice of relying on Aegis in the preparation of Ryan's winning defense." Citing a source familiar with the appeal, the New York Times reported that Braun's defense team never mentioned Bosch's name during the hearing before an arbitration panel."
  14. The fact that his lawyer is on there probably helps him some; but I am going to need to see some hard evidence. If this guy did indeed consult for Braun then there is a paper trail somewhere.
  15. Well if that is true than Yahoo looks like a bunch of idiots outing him like this.
  16. I guess if enough evidence comes out of this then that is enough proof for me everything else considered. I will still cheer for him so long as he keeps putting up his numbers. He can just kiss all star games, MVP's, HOF, and his entire legacy goodbye.
  17. For cripes sake. I'll give Braun the benefit of the doubt for now because this document doesn't list any PED with any mention of Braun. But this doesn't look good; of course I felt about the same way when the stuff came out last year
  18. I thought it was a good show; my wife thought it was grotesque and inappropriate. It wasn't any worse than the horrible GoDaddy and Calvin Klein commercials. I thought the Taco Bell old people commercial was awesome; didn't really like anything else
  19. The constant rain and snow over the last 7 days really has to be helping out the water tables. It seems we have had some precipitation virtually every day for a week. It looks like the snow forecasts have been downgraded a bit; FDL is being shown as anywhere from 5-7 at this point. Doesn't look like the GB area is going to get as much as originally expected.
  20. I think in general I like the all star games in this order. MLB NBA NFL Just the nature of baseball forces players to play like a normal game for the most part. Yeah you can lolly gag on the basepaths but you can't just turn off the skill associated with hitting and pitching. PLus the whole world series home field thing. NBA is OK; it seems the rosters are small enough that there really are legitimate snubs every year; especially since the fans vote in some pretty pathetic starting lineups every year. The Pro Bowl is just time wasting TV until the Super Bowl is on the next week. I didn't watch it at all this year. As for Jennings making it; I highly doubt it. Stern is going to go with Lopez from Brooklyn; the more big market stars the better.
  21. This January has been really weird as far as the weather goes. That cold spell was brutal, might hit a high record today and get 6 inches of snow tomorrow.
  22. Not suprising at all. Arod isn't going to be able to put up much of an argument when Melky, Grandal, and Colon all got suspended in 2012. Where there is smoke there is fire. Arod is going to conveniently miss almost the whole season anyways so he won'y have to face much music. I am a little skeptical that Cruz is using but I guess it does make a little sense.
  23. It is one thing to have money to spend; its quite another to actually get a legit SG to come here. Same problem as the Brewers used to have. Who was the last legitmately good FA that ever decided to come to MIL or that was even offered by MIL? Drew Gooden doesn't count.
