  1. 'Lets go shoot some golf... they sure are hard to find in these holes!' Nice, Ueck.
  2. -Yost on Gonzalez's error... Nice.
  3. It seems like he's given up a lot of runs without giving up a lot of hits. Good combo for the home-run hitting brewers, but it sounds like it'll be hit or miss (litterally).
  4. That was one of the most frustrating losses of the season. That should have been won.
  5. http://img57.imageshack.us/img57/8526/estevez217ta.jpg Prince and Carlos are the bash brothers.
  6. ...but please don't ever start a game thread again for the rest of your life just kidding http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  7. Can I just say that I have never seen anything like that. That was unbelievable. Keep it going Rick, good to have you back.
  8. Week-E-Meter: 14 (Meaning Weeks has made it 14 games since an making an error, even though it seems like a Week-E-Meter should be counting the number of errors, but oh well, this is what you asked for) http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. Well that was a frustrating game, but very well fought except for some lucky/perfect bunts in one bad inning. Sorry to see everyone who thought the Brew Crew had a shot at the wild card 12 hours ago are jumping ship again because they lost to the best team in baseball. A few weird strategic moves in this game. I would have had Davis IBB Inge after it was 2-0 with the man on second, pitcher on deck, and two outs. But he came back and got the out, leaving the pitcher for the next inning. Then when Jenkins was on second with two outs, I don't know if I would've walked Brady Clark to get to a pinch hitter... but Weeks eventually had an accidental ground out with the bases loaded and that worked out too. Oh well, I wouldn't be able to handle being a manager.
  10. Exactly. How quickly we forget and start expecting wins left and right. This board was pretty deserted a little over a week ago, and now its the wildcard talk again. I'm looking forward to seeing Detroit. Should be a good tough series, kind of like when the Yankees were in town last year, and that was very cool.
  11. I would take that, but I'm thinking its gonna be Cecil's son today.
  12. We don't get the Mundo up in Neenah either, but something tells me that the 2 years of spanish I took would only prepare me for understanding only about 3% of the words anyway.
  13. When was the last time the Brewers had someone hitting above .400 in the 8-hole?? Man that is a solid line up... but its gonna take that solid of a line-up to touch Sabathia.
  14. I feel like people quickly forget that there are two sides to the inconsistency equation. IMO the pitcher has a lot to do with the situation. If a pitcher is very good at hunkering down with runners in scoring position, it can make your team look very 'non-clutch.' if the brewers face a few more lefties than usual, jenkins can quickly look very inconsistent. not every situation is the fault of the hitter. today was a good pitchers duel that could have easily gone either way. I will say, though, that I look at Adam Dunn in a new light now. Horrible defense in this series, boatloads of strikeouts, but I guess he earned his paycheck by stealing a game in the series with the bomb. I don't know why, I have a hard time respecting such a one-dimensional player.
  15. a little dave bush mojo: http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/5323/bush3bs.jpg
  16. Yeah, really. It seemed like that was a hard hump to get over for them last year. And Turnbow has seemed to have the most trouble on days with big crowds this year.
  17. That was my favorite from the Cards board. Yikes, quite a statement.
  18. I honestly could see the Brewers completely owning the Pirates tomorrow afternoon. I'm talking huge. Then everyone will be pumped for the homestand saying hey we're back at .500 and look how amazing this lineup is.
  19. yikes. you know they're not playing pittsburgh in PNC for the entire month of June.
  20. Sorry, the answer we were looking for was Ice Cold http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  21. Especially a bad pitching staff when the offense goes cold, or even colder than cold. Whats colder than cold?
  22. Anyone else have the feeling that Cappy's gonna get slammed tomorrow? I thought Pittsburgh would be hot, but yikes.
  23. they're hitting duke pretty well. if they get to him in the next couple innings, this could still be interesting...
  24. He should get sent down to double A.
  25. I'm really looking forward to this series, cautiously. I think its a really good chance for the Brewers to dispell a lot of demons in PNC in previous years, as well as improve their road record this year. We'll all be watching De La Rosa closely tomorrow, and he has the opporitunity to majorly remedy the brewers pitching woes (or continue the revolving door). A couple good matchups, but who knows what'll happen. It's a series against a team that is better than their record with a couple hot players right now, but its only one series and then we get to spend practically all of June at home. The difference between 1-3 and 3-1 won't make or break this season for me.
