  1. Just thinking out loud here.....do you think we could send Ned a DVD with examples of how Torre uses Mike Myers? Could help with the whole Shouse thing.
  2. I'll bet that he won't blow a 4-run lead and give up 6 runs. I am kicking my Ned Yost voodoo doll in the collarbone.
  3. He should have been given the whole top of the 8th to warm up, and Shouse should have been riding pine.
  4. Turnbow needs to NEVER come in with inherited runners. Shouse should NEVER pitch a full inning loaded with right-handed batters. Counsell should NEVER attempt a steal of THIRD BASE with NONE OUT. Come on Ned, get your head in the game. Or leave.
  5. If you're ever walking around Camp Randall Stadium on a Saturday in the fall, avert your eyes! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. haiku is stupid who the hell thought up this crap go back to art school EDIT: This post was made in jest (kind of).
  7. What is with Yost's obsession with the "fake bunt-pull the bat back and slash" play? We could have had Graffy on 2nd with 1 out and we get squat. Bush should have just concentrated on laying down a good bunt. The double steal was asinine too. Taking the bat out of Hall's hands with a guy on 3rd? You have got to be kidding me. How is he supposed to get hot at the plate if you take away his opportunities? Yosted again.....he always succeeds in making the easy decisions look hard.
  8. So I'm sitting here debating whether I'm hardcore enough to attend a Tool concert, and now Weill says he's going.....maybe I'll have to celebrate Independence Day with Maynard and the gang too. (I'm guessing you'll be attending at least one of the Twins games in May....hit me up via text message buddy.)
  9. Bumping this because of Spurling, aka Winkelsas. Can we option this guy please? Or is Yost going to keep running him out there to face one batter, give up a base hit, and get pulled? It's times like these that I wish Capellan wasn't such a hothead. If he just would have played it cool for a couple weeks he would be in Milwaukee giving us quality innings.
  10. Last night didn't help that average too much (I was pretty much ready to throw a brick through my TV) but good to see.
  11. My Yost infection is flaring up again!!!!!
  12. It's been said before, but lurking for a couple weeks/months is probably the best thing to do before you start posting. Last March, I started my first thread, entitled "Dana Eveland - I don't see the upside". This was based on him showing up 20 pounds overweight for camp and getting lit up on quite a few occasions. Plus I don't tend to have the attachment to prospects that many of our posters do - there's just so many people that are run through the minor league system that don't pan out. This, of course, does not apply to Gallardo, Braun, Inman, or Jeffress. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif (Side note: I still believe that I am right about Eveland....but I digress.) Needless to say, the response was very anti-KegStand. But in the same respect, I probably could have formed my argument in a more persuasive way. I'm sure I came off as a "noob". But since I didn't act pompous about it like jondoe, eventually after a couple months of posting and chat room appearances I felt like a valued member of the BF.net community. While I don't support "hazing" anyone, I don't have a problem with having a high level of expectations for the content on these boards.....it is OUR community, after all. That doesn't mean that we all have to value stats to the same extent, or even at all. It just means using logic and information to support your opinions.
  13. If they became the Rock County Rockers, could they wear uniforms inspired by Shawn Michaels and Marty Janetty? If yes, I would gladly purchase season tickets. http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/e/e8/200px-Rockers_WWF.jpg
  14. Yes, it would be a terrible idea to let Bill Hall play SS. It's not like he's proven himself capable of it or anything.
  15. THIS IS OUR COUNTRY http://www.digitalfocus.net/slides/John%20Mellencamp.jpg
  16. According to Cliff Clavin, life doesn't begin until you have been in his kitchen.
  17. Went to high school with him (Racine Horlick), he was a senior when I was a freshman. Nice guy, I'm sure he'd love the chance to play here.
  18. Honestly, I could stomach it. I don't like the guy, but he's going to be playing somewhere next season, and if his steroid-induced 1.000 OPS season gets me an October baseball ticket in Milwaukee, so be it.
  19. Prince of.....Roy? http://www.cantstopthebleeding.com/img/s&g1027.jpg
  20. The people walking to class can wait, I need to get to work.
  21. Because I'm not done eating and drinking yet.
  22. It really grinds my gears when you can't find the droids you're looking for. http://www.casefresh.com/starwars/gentlegiantstudios/imagesminibusts/stormtrooper.jpg Thank you, Peter Griffin.
  23. burnie, I'm well aware that Madison Ave. isn't worth it, but I was following the 21st birthday party. There's no chance I would ever choose to go there on my own.
  24. I went out in Madison last night because we have an intern at work who was turning 21......started at the Crave/Plaza and then walked to Madison Avenue, where I was turned away at the door for not wearing a collared shirt. I hate that place, I hope it burns to the ground with the owners trapped inside.
