  1. Here I thought this thread was about West Bend, Port Washington, the city of Waukesha, etc....
  2. Shot variety packs. 6 or 10 disposable shot glasses filled with 1.5 oz of a variety of top shelf alcohols. (aka, like Kellogg's breakfast cereal variety packs, but for college students and 28 year olds like me who still think they're in college) Different versions of the product could come with one or more collectible non-disposable shot glasses.
  3. Honestly, McDonald's Chicken McNuggets are probably my favorite fast food anywhere. Give me a 20 piece (or a 20 piece plus a 10 piece) and a boatload of sweet & sour sauce and I'm in heaven. On the dessert side, Arby's chocolate turnovers are to die for.
  4. ESPN.com makes it pretty clear that it's $1.4 million. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/index (News links) Plus, Russell can earn $500,00 in incentive bonuses ... $250,000 for 200 plate appearances.
  5. I've never met a fast food item I didn't like. Then again, I'm not very adveturous -- go with a lot of safe bets.
  6. Only 93 inches to go....
  7. I listed this show in my top 10 and was hoping someone would comment on it, but no one did. Was I the only one to watch Campus Ladies during it's 1.5 season run? It was a sitcom on the Oxygen channel about two 40-ish year old women who go back to college, live on campus, and try to fit in with the whole college experience (roommates, classmates, professors, sororities, parties, etc). Comedy style was off-the wall, even brash or off color, and often times awkward. (Not unlike The Office or Arrested Development, albeit much less polished.) Hilariously entertaining -- I'm not sure any other TV show has ever made me laugh out loud as much. I think it was also the first vehicle to give Jonah Hill serious exposure. Wish it would have lasted longer and I'd kill for it to be released on DVD, there's not even anything good on Youtube. (Hint hint hint if anyone out there has anything from this show recorded in any format.)
  8. The George Lopez Show. Has to be the most unfunny comedy on television. Any time I catch just a glimpse of it I wonder how it wasn't cancelled after just one show.
  9. Very nice. Can never have too many videos like this. Should have focused more on the wretchedness of the typical, insufferable Cubs fan, though.
  10. ...And I was just about to comment that this was the most unanimous thread ever in the history of the forum.
  11. I've listened to about 5 or 6 songs on youtube. Good stuff. Progressive, creative, original, ambitious -- refreshing in a world where people get excited about lazy, rehashed garbage like (in contrast) Velvet Revolver. Nice use of piano ... not nearly enough of that in hard rock anymore. Some crazy, virtuoso-level guitaring from Buckethead ... don't get that in mainstream rock ever anymore. Seems like the kind of material where it takes five to ten listens for the album to sink in. That's a very good thing. Worth my $15 for the CD. After 5 or 6 songs, Chinese Democracy = GnR + Queen + Faith No More + Freak Kitchen + Extreme + Pink Floyd + Robert Plant + Dream Theater
  12. Cons: Everyone has one, no individuality. Was surprised not to see the Mazda3 on your list. Best looking car in the segment, IMO.
  13. Try as I might, I could not find those words on that page. Or any surrounding page. Or any near-similar words.
  14. Nearly the identical thing happened to me at a Walgreens in suburban chicago last weekend. All I wanted was two Gatorades for hangover relief and I end up waiting in line for 10 minutes as a nightmare of a pricecheck situation unfolds -- no one manning cosmetics and the Photo counter had a line of people. When I couldn't take it anymore, I put a $5 bill on the counter, told the clerk I didn't want any change, and left with my beverage product.
  15. Chocco cake, chocco cake, eat so much you get a tummy ache....
  16. Replacement for Shouse? Is retaining Brian's House not as much a done deal as we might think? 66-87 record and 4.23 ERA (which are both fine measures if they were earned in relief) are not good at all. Pass. Just 'cos he rebounded a bit in 2008, you can't be all Holy Carp! because he played for the Carp.
  17. If I'm to understand that video, she's disrespectful to dirt?
  18. Gooble gobble, gooble gobble, we accept her one of us, we accept her one of us, gooble gobble gooble gobble....
  19. 6th out of 16 in OPS and 7th out of 16 in runs scored is nothing to be proud of. That's barely above average.
  20. To each their own. That cold open was a good example of the show going downhill, for me. What's funny about Steve Carrell screaming No six times? I thought Dwight's closing monologue woulda been better if the show would have cut him off when he said, "...this is where things get interesting" -- instead it just trailed on and had no punch line. The show had some good lines that reminded me of classic Office, though: Dwight- "...That's why I always whip open doors." Dwight- "Oh I've framed animals before. I framed a raccoon for opening a Christmas present. And I framed a bear for eating out of the garbage." Michael- "That would be mean. But sometimes the end justifies the mean." It was a good episode overall.
  21. About 8 months ago, I started whistling the West Side Story tune "The Jets are in gear -- our cylinders are clickin" at least once a day. I swear, it just comes out at random.
  22. 01) Simpsons 02) Family Guy 03) Arrested Development 04) The Office 05) Married ... With Children 06) NewsRadio 07) Campus Ladies 08) Mystery Science Theater 3000 09) Gilmore Girls 10) Two and a Half Men Also receiving votes: Freaks & Geeks, Muppet Babies, Family Ties, M*A*S*H, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Eek the Cat, Bobby's World
  23. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3712791 An unexpected move from Jack Z? Wakamatsu was not a name I was familiar with. (If this is already posted somewhere else, please lock/delete.)
  24. Great interview, all kinds of tidbits in there. The 28-man roster after the strike giving him his shot, the 4 major league Brewers coming out of Hawaii, the back-to-back home runs he hit -- all good stuff I didn't know before reading the article. Thanks!
