  1. i'm surprised it took this long for someone to mention other places parking. We aren't NY or Boston so comparing the parking for the Brewers and those other two cities doesn't make much sense to me.
  2. his dunk by banking it of the back of the backboard and then dunking it from behind was much more impressive
  3. I agree about the jerseys, they are horrible. Howard was good in the dunk competition however I don't think the one where he threw the ball in from 2 ft away should be called a dunk. It was more like a really hard over hand lay up.
  4. I hear that. Wait till you have to take 1 or 2 kids with you as well. Then you double and triple your ticket cost. Yeah, then you probably cut down on the games you attend a year. I go to 10-20 a year, I don't think I could do that if I had kids.
  5. not to take this off of nickleback, but I really like Collective Soul, and I don't mind Pearl Jam at all
  6. I like to park in the preferred parking lots because I HATE the walk to the other parking lots and its very easy to get out of the parking lot after the game. If the prices do continue to go up, I won't be able to park preferred anymore. Price of the ticket, price of parking, some food along they way, time, and the big kicker is gas won't allow me to. Tickets for games and parking isn't very expensive for people that live close to milwaukee. But when you live over a hour and a half away, gas is the killer.
  7. that would be pretty crazy. I don't know if you have been to ST or not, but there are some fields where they have to do that.. The Rockies play at HI Corbet field and the visiting team has to walk right through the crowd. Talk about autographs. I got Konerko, Pierzynski, Dye, Crede, Jenks, just to name a few in a matter of minutes. Very, Very neat.
  8. that was very funny. In the video jenkins is in the back ground.
  9. tied one on a few days ago with 2 other friends. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j290/jason21nl/n208201341_30747944_3665.jpg
  10. shot down on the cool title and double avatar, bad week for you huh?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. I really like the tour idea, but I'm going to vote for snows in October. Maybe combine the two?
  12. is that quote directly from Yost, or is that Haudricourts opinion? Maybe I'm just not reading it right. because after he says that, then he puts "When they throw at a player's head, you have to do something about it," said Yost. "Throwing at a guy's head can't be tolerated, under any circumstances. You can't let them get away with it." in quotes. I hate the way Yost doesn't man up and admit when he was wrong. Instead he'll put blame on everyone or everything else. Then he'll use a cop out and say that fans have no idea what we are talking about, or blow up when a reporter actually asks him a tough question. Sure he stuck up for his star player that night, but he pretty much told McClung we don't really care about you. I would have loved to hear...They hit my player up around the head area, I hit theirs back. We don't back down to anyone, but I should have waited till next year to do something about it. Right now we have a division to compete for and I didn't put my players in the best position to win tonight. It won't happen again. Now I know we'll never hear that but it would be nice
  13. i just wonder how everyone that hates them ended up in one place, like BF. The sell millions of CDs yet you would probably have trouble finding 10 people that like them on this site. for the record, I don't mind them at all. message boards are weird sometimes. You could probably walk into a store and ask people if they like Nickleback and most would probably say yes. You come here, and hell no, they suck. I don't get it
  14. how on earth does Devan George even have a no trade clause in his contract?
  15. if that were to happen, the winner between Indiana and WI would be lucky to score 55 points. I'll bet the under on that one.
  16. all I know is that big scary cat isn't close to me, and I'm fine with that.
  17. here kitty kitty
  18. I agree. Indiana knew what they were getting into when they hired him.
  19. I guess I'll just disagree then. When you have a guy like Reyes, Podsednik, Pierre, or any other base stealer, it has to effect the pitcher. From rushed pitches, to pitch outs putting the pitcher behind in the count, from having throw fastballs instead of sliders or breaking pitches. If you have a guy like Jenkins on first, the pitcher could careless. You put Reyes out there, then everything changes.
  20. I don't dismiss it. The only time I think a batter is distracted is when the runner breaks for second then stops. I'm only saying that from my experience as a hitter. If a base runner was going to steal, then go, don't go in and out of my vision.
  21. I think a guy that is almost always trying to take a base on you is going to distract the pitcher. Pitchers will even change their delivery going with a slide step rather than their normal motion. You always hear announcers say that the pitcher should stop worrying about the base runner and pay more attention to the batter.
  22. Like I said, we have been down this road before. Like I also said, you stat guys will throw a bunch of stats at it saying how horrible he is. a player doesn't always need eye popping stats to make a difference. Sometimes I think you and some others fail to understand that. You said it yourself, one tool guy and thats speed. Well thats one thing that the Sox had 0 of until he got there. Its not always about the SB% either. You put the thought of the SB in the pitchers mind, and he could hurry his pitches causing walks or serving up meat balls right down the plate. You can't put a stat on that. He was their spark plug, he did the things he needed to do to help the team win. He did have MVP votes in 05 and went to the ASG. He might not be the best player ever, but the guy didn't suck in 03 and didn't suck in 05. DM pawned him off to the Sox but the Sox ended up winning the WS. So Id bet that their GM would do the trade all over again. The had sluggers, they didn't need another one in lee, they needed speed, and thats what they got. not saying podsednik was the only reason, or even the main reason the won the world series but he wasn't riding the bench during the run either.
