  1. Perhaps maybe they'd have to make up that game and then there is some type of tiebreaker other than playing a 1 game playoff? They'd make the Dodgers & Brewers make up the game and play the Cubs.
  2. You should email Brewers.com, I bet they'd love to hear and perhaps share your story.
  3. How is his objective not over, because he still has to formally run the bases? Ball meets bat, ball is traveling 400+ feet, objective over! Braun could have ran after he hit the ball and the ball hits the wall -- I think that's what people are concerned about.
  4. Wow, any chance we could offer him a minor league deal to give us a switch-hitter off the bench?
  5. They all run instead of admire. Act like you've been there. I think that everyone would agree if this would have been a 8-0 game and Braun hit it in the 3rd inning, we'd not want to see too much showboating. It was an exciting end to a crazy series. I really don't see a big deal. I do understand the concern about getting around the bases in case that ball doesn't clear the fence, but I would like to think this is an isolated incident. I think Bill Hall earlier this year got caught jogging on a ball that ended up staying in the park. I think the underlying fear/concern people have here is the "bad blood" that may be boiling between the Brewers and Cards -- especially given last year's fiasco. No one wants to see a plunking exchange. The Cardinals can go pound sand. Thank you Ryan Braun.
  6. I didn't understand that belt she was wearing.
  7. In retrospect, aren't the Brewers better without him? Not one bit -- We could have still traded for CC or Harden, etc.... Is anyone else having visions of Gallardo being to the Brewers in October 2008 what KRod was to the Angels in October 2002? Not me -- Yo won't be in pitching shape.
  8. When he tenders his resignation.
  9. And Prince Fielder deserves 50,000 dozen roses. He'd just crush Doritos on them and eat them
  10. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k279/socker21/Cardinals.jpg
  11. ESPN > The Force Chris Berman > Han Solo Public Transportation > Millennium Falcon Bill Schroeder > Yoda Reagan Star Wars > Lucas Star Wars. Did I forget any?
  12. FTJ, K-Rod was 21 in 2002. Gallardo is 22, right? Age ain't nothin but a number baby! K-Rod wasn't coming off of an ACL tear in 2002. If Yo didn't have the serious injury he'd be in our rotation.
  13. Assuming a 100% clean bill of health, I'd have a hard time giving the ball to a young guy like Yo in a playoff closer situation after missing the last few months.
  14. While I might agree with you, I wouldn't want to battle the wrath of the Yost-haters. Why not? -- Please do not interpret this as snarky, but a lot of the Nedophiles do not try to argue in the manner that BUC does. BUC does a great job addressing things that the haters actually type (as opposed to constructing fantasy scenarios), and presents his own arguments in a non-confrontational way, yet clearly states points and counter-points without resorting to strawman arguments, or treating each Yost-hater as part of a hive mind. BUC is a great poster, I have certainly learned from and appreciated his effort. That said, I think he may be standing too close to the helium tank sometimes... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. I'm not really thrilled by this move, but I do want to confirm that I am a Gwynn hater. I to am a TGJ hater, and not sure why I should be thrilled.
  16. My wife makes outstanding homemade pizza. She puts some sort of cornmeal on the crust, which I guess dries it up or something -- She makes her dough in a bread-machine which is the #1 use of our bread machine by far. You can get pizza stones rather cheap at wal-mart -- they can get more expensive at a specialty shop of course.
  17. It's probably a pet peeve of mine but I dispise all bandwagoners! I hear you -- bandwagoners will dump a ton of $$$$ into the team though -- maybe that will help your annoyance http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. I think Geoff stands a decent chance of landing a Brewers Walk of Fame spot, perhaps a better chance than other wearers of #5 George Scott was a better player -- Is he not on the walk of Fame?
  19. Hey man -- I'm not coming to Italy soon -- but keep posting! -- I am glad that Brewer fever is setting roots in Europe...
  20. 3. Billy Beane gave Harden up, even though he had him signed through 2009. The modest haul Oakland received combined with the timing of this transaction (weeks away from the deadline) leads me to believe that Beane just wanted to get rid of Harden ASAP. Yeah -- I agree with this, however, I think it is reflected in the price. The Cubs went shopping in the "bumps and dings" -- section they may get screwed, they may get a great value.
  21. that would be "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" you are referring to
  22. I am planning on trying pizza on the grill in a few weeks. I am currently in the process of looking at recipes for pizza sauce. Has anybody tried pizza on the grill before? I have made pizza on the grill... I have found using a stone makes things easier. go light on the cheese.
  23. Could you take some tighter pictures of where things connect?
  24. It's now officially a good day. Thanks FTJ. Check this out -- courtesy of Night Ranger.... Billy Castro makes a move for the phone The phone rings its Ned all forlorn Mike Maddux yells "Is Mota all warmed up?" Not a sound as Mota pees in a cup Fancy blue glove's got it ready to throw Mitch Stetter got sent down from the show Light him up and load the bases up full And chuck it chuck it duck it You can still suck in Miller Park Ah yeah s'alright You can still suck in Miller Park Ah yeah all night You can still suck in Miller Park
  25. I was thinking -- there is that song "Sister Christian" by Night Ranger, and there is that part where the poofy haired guys yell "Motor'en" -- you could conceivably write a song around "Mota's in" -- I wonder if they are still busy with the state fair tour to go to the studio.
