    Your 3rd seeded Badgers, ranked 6th in the AP poll take on the 10 seed Davidson Wildcats, ranked 23rd, at Ford Field in Detroit. Key matchup: Flowers vs. Curry. If Flowers chases Steph like he has Drew Neitzel and Manny Harris, it will be a long day for the sophomore. I think Curry will go off for at least 20...the key will be whether his teammates get involved offensively. Remember that the Badgers have allowed 31 and 26 from their first two opponents star players and still won rather comfortably. However, Davidson is far better and more complete than KSU and CSF. Should be a nailbiter. Go Badgers!

    -Remember the Titans (yeah, I suck) during the funeral scene -United 93 (not right away though...I first needed to get over the feeling of being punched in the face) -Goodbye Lenin (early protest scene, as well as during moments of the incredible Yann Tiersen score) -The Fox and the Hound (I was 6, and I haven't seen it since)

    Stop letting them get down low...force them into bad shots, and we could be okay, assuming they don't get hot. I don't like the pace of this game at all...When the 3s don't fall, we'll have to work it inside and draw those fouls. FTs, as always, should be huge.

    The periods of sluggish play by the Badgers tonight will NOT cut it against K-State. The Wildcats will jump all over that.

    FtJ, I've never agreed with you more--man, that's annoying. I'm an editor, so it's extremely rare that someone turns a phrase incorrectly (you thought I'd say 'wrong'?). Instead what bugs me are the people who use rather antiquated and especially large words just to prove they're smart. I'm one to mispronounce things on purpose. If I had to choose two, though (besides mute point--that's even hard to type), I'd go with "irregardless" and "very unique". "Very unique" makes we want to hurl...Something is unique or it isn't! I would also go with "utilize." *shudder*

    Jeronne Maymon put on a show for Memorial yesterday...28 pts, 12 rebs, and 8 blocks...and he's only a junior. Word is UW is actively pursuing him, and he's sure made a solid impression so far.

    I like Wrigley. I like Fenway. I like Williams Arena. I like the Big House. Now, I hate the Cubs, Red Sox, Gophers, and Wolverines, but I have an appreciation for anything old in sports. To me there's nothing like walking into a ballpark or arena and knowing that some of the greatest ever have been out there. I think any baseball fan should have it in their minds to experience Wrigley Field at least once. I've been there 3 times...it's uncomfortable and the fans have been jerks every time, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back...it just has "that" feel. Basically, I understand the hatred for the team and the fans, but I'm a little disappointed that people here don't at least appreciate their park. Everyone should visit Wrigley if they get the chance...might as well go see the Brewers while you're there.

    My alma mater as well...although what looks like much more recently than you. Memorial became good just as I was making my way through school, and March was always a fun time.

    No UW moments in there? This is the "Badger State," isn't it? I would argue that the "Bevell Run" is the perfect "moment" to capture the rise from mediocrity for all Badger sports in the early-mid 90s. That said, Hunt's choices aren't bad at all. That must've been a fun list to make.

    Bottom line for me is, if music gets to you in any way...if it pisses you off, makes you happy, nostalgic, contemplative, whatever...that is a good, good, thing, be it Nickelback, Sam Cooke, or the Addams Family Theme. It means the art is serving it's purpose. Enjoy it! That said, I really really can't stand Nickelback.

    I just walked, nay skated, 2.5 miles home from a bar. I fell only once. I am hero. That might sound like nothing, but if anythbody has been outside (in the Mad-town area) since around 12-1 am, you will know what I mean. What a trip...

    Gus Johnson / Bill Raftery would be the most enjoyable CBB broadcast team, by far, for me. From what I've heard, others feel the same way...why doesnt Gus do more March Madness games? I used to like Keith Jackson when he was a regular, too.

    Not sure if this is being discussed over at LL. If not, post your thoughts about this years commercials here...I feel like the ads have been pretty lackluster in past years. Hopefully this will change. Since my Pack isn't in the big game, and I can't stand the Pats and am still a little mad at the Giants, commercials will be my main focus this year. Enjoy!
