  1. Averaging just over 40,000 a game (40,307 to be exact) will get us 3.1. That's entirely possible...I'd even say probable.
  2. Powell said he spent all day yesterday with Marissa Miller shooting a Remington commercial. Marissa Miller the supermodel. So...connect the dots.
  3. It looks like it's gonna happen this year. 2,128,627 so far with 24 games left. An average of 36,307 over those remaining home games will put us there. Considering that we're at 37,344 per game so far this year (with at least a 15 game sellout streak going on right now), I think we're well on our way. Looking at the top 10 in home attendance this year, we're at #10 behind only the New York teams, the LA teams, Chicago, Boston, St. Louis, Philly, and Detroit. Nice, Wisconsin. Very nice.
  4. April 26 - Brewers 4, Marlins 3 May 17 (1) - Red Sox 5, Brewers 3 May 17 (2) - Red Sox 7, Brewers 6 May 18 - Red Sox 11, Brewers 7 May 28 - Brewers 1, Braves 0 June 3 - Brewers 7, Diamondbacks 1 June 13 - Twins 10, Brewers 2 June 20 - Orioles 8, Brewers 5 June 28 - Brewers 5, Twins 1 July 4 - Brewers 9, Pirates 1 July 8 - Brewers 7, Rockies 3 July 26 - Brewers 6, Astros 4 That's 7-5 Overall and 6-2 at Miller Park (6-0 in non-Friday games)
  5. A 3-run lead when the home team has 6 outs to go is never safe. Not even close.
  6. 9-5 in the 8th and nobody out. We're just phoning it in at this point. By the way, we are the worst team in baseball at covering 1st.
  7. Depressing, yet hopeful stat of the day: 5 longest current droughts of no road series sweeps (minimum 3 game series) 5. Baltimore Orioles, since May 28-30, 2007 4. Atlanta Braves, since April 2-5, 2007 3. San Diego Padres, since July 24-26, 2006 2. Texas Rangers, since May 2-4, 2005 1. Milwaukee Brewers, since June 29-July 1, 2004 Go Brewers!
  8. I know who you're talking about having sat in 217 many a time (mostly in the lean years, when tickets were plentiful and not terribly expensive) and he stood out to me too. I remember one particular game when he helped a father / son in their quest for a foul ball. Great guy.

  10. Not having TV for one game is nothing to get this outraged about. We have two outstanding radio guys and it's a beautiful day in southern Wisconsin. Grab a radio, go outside, bring a crossword or book and maybe some Leinie's or lemonade and just enjoy the show.
  11. Metrodome sucks + Brewers rule = Manny Parra = Brewers win! Now beer! Ale Asylum Ambergeddon? Check. Lites? Check. Beast Light? Check. Beast Ice? Check. Beer Bong? Check. I love Wisconsin.
  12. Yesterday my girlfriend got on the bus to leave my apartment. After a few stops, she got off and came back because she realized she had left "Moneyball" at my place and really wanted to read it. She's a keeper.
  13. The greatest loss I've ever attended. I still keep the ticket stub.
  14. For those of you who were part of Fan Fest 2007...I'm almost positive Russell's foul landed in the section we sat in that night. Again, I say, Wow! And with this long ball showcase coinciding with Little League Night, imagine how many Wisconsin kids are going to bed tonight dreaming of hitting home runs - like Russell, like Ryan, like Prince, and yep, like Craig. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I just hope their coaches don't let them forget about small ball. I was at the game vs. New York last year when Glavine was going for win #300. After getting plunked in one inning, Prince comes back the next and hits 2 foul balls in one at bat to deep right, just foul, and into the terrace level. Then he ripped a double. Crazy at bat.
  15. Good to see our "8th-inning guy" rot in the bullpen. Seriously, why wasnt he in?
  16. Highway 16 around Hartland is the way to go coming back from Milwaukee. Last night we took the 16 to the alternate 94, through Watertown (beautiful town by the way...I had no idea it was that big, either.). then we took the Q down to Milford, the A a short ways to Lake Mills, and then we were able to get right back on the 94 westbound. Sounds more complicated than it was. Still only took us about 90 minutes to get back to downtown Madison from Miller Park. Good luck and stay safe, all.
  17. Bill Hall loses games.
  18. What a shock. I loved watching and listening to this guy and seeing how excited he got when talking about baseball / politics. He would've loved covering this election. So sad.
  19. I liked the bucketheads. It brought some energy to the Keg when only 11,000 people were in attendance.
  20. The fellas over at "Fire Joe Morgan" have done quite a bit of work on Mr. Justice. Not saying he's necessarily wrong about the Brewers, but based on this small sample articles, I can't really take his claims seriously.
  21. Yay Joe, Yay Ryan, Boo Gabe. Get at least one more here.
  22. I really don't think it's a great idea to have your outfielder with the best range out of the lineup in 2 out of 3 games in the largest outfield in the majors. Go Brewers.
  23. Managing by picking names out of a hat + using relievers based on completely and meaningless statistics (saves) = A terrible manager.
  24. In non-NL Central related news, Coco Crisp is a punk.
